Will Skirk be a character that can be played?
Skirk's in-game model suggests that she will be available in a future Genshin Impact update. As of right now, there aren't any trustworthy leaks or in-game hints on her release date or build components, but we're keeping a watch on things, so return to this page for updates.
Who is Skirk of Genshin Impact?
When Genshin Impact's Childe was released, that's when we first learned about Skirk. When Childe was younger, he fell into the abyss and encountered Skirk, who served as his teacher, trained him, and showed him how to utilize the Foul Legacy.
Childe's backstory suggests that she is very strong since she can easily defeat him. This is now evident in the game as well; in one swift motion, she vanquishes a massive, terrifying, extraterrestrial creature that was set to eat Fontaine in its whole.
Skirk agrees to research the Descenders and their role in Teyvat's destiny and to relay any new knowledge via Childe after conversing with Neuvillette and the Traveler in the Primordial Sea. This might imply that he will remain in the chasm until Skirk returns him. Regarding Skirk, we see her brandishing a sword and using the female avatar in the game, much to Keqing and Ganyu.
Her voice actresses in the game are Noto Mamiko in the Japanese version, Xie Ying in Chinese, and Cat Protano in English.
Who is Surtalogi? It seems that even masters need masters, and Skirk is a student of Surtalogi, alias The Foul. He is a perfectionist, much like Rhinedottir from Genshin Impact Hexenzirkel, who created Albedo. That annoying Narwhal that Eats Everything? It's his animal companion.
Another Norse name introduced to the Genshin is Surtalogi, which refers to the name of the sword that Surtr is holding. Since both Mondstadt and Khaenri'ah have Norse names, there doesn't appear to be a clear connection between them, so we're not quite sure what this may indicate in terms of the character at this point.
That concludes the lore dump for Genshin Impact for today. Check out everything we know about the new Honkai Star Rail codes and the future Zenless Zone Zero characters if you're a huge fan of the Hoyoverse games.
