Who is Kissy Missy from Poppy Playtime?

One of Playtime Co.'s toys, Kissy Missy is the other half of Huggy Wuggy. (That's obviously obvious from the names). She makes her debut on the scene in 1985, a year after Huggy Wuggy. She is the mascot of Playtime Co., but other than that, not much is known about her.

Huggy Wuggy and Kissy Missy

As we have shown, Huggy Wuggy and Kissy Missy are a couple. Although we haven't seen them interact—which is exceedingly improbable considering the Wugster's death in a tight squeeze—it is reasonable to suppose that Huggy Wuggy and Kissy Missy, the two toys designed by Playtime Co., are related. We'd even venture to speculate that these two probably dated back when they were still alive. It's true that one seems scarier than the other when it comes to toys.

Poppy Playtime: What Is It? What is Kissy Missy's part in the tale?

In Chapter 2, Kissy Missy makes a cameo appearance to assist you by operating a lever that lifts the gate that was preventing you from moving further. To be honest, we're not sure how useful this is given how badly Mommy Long Legs wants to murder us, but we'll take everything we can get in this hell hole. By the time the gate raises enough for you to pass through, she has vanished. This behavior suggests that she is an ally. She is organic and capable of independent thought, nevertheless, since Playtime Co. also conducted experiments on her. She still has a nice heart, however, or at least that's what we believe.

You are now at the area where Chapter 3 spoilers are found. Kissy Missy reappears in Chapter 3 after going missing after helping us in A Fly in a Web. Although she throws you to the ground when you first see her in Playcare—more specifically, in Home Sweet Home—she lets you go when Poppy tells her that you're “one of the good ones,” proving that she is, in fact, one of the good toys.

After that, Kissy Missy puts Poppy on her shoulder, demonstrating their obvious friendship. We can only hope that this means she now loves us too. By the time the chapter comes to a close, Kissy Missy's future seems to be in jeopardy since it seems like the Prototype or another evil toy chases her when she presses the lever to let Poppy and us descend an elevator. Let's face it, there was plenty space in the elevator for her to accompany us.

Poppy, obviously upset about losing her companion, takes the elevator by mistake and leads us back up. Kissy Missy, we're coming for you!

Poppy Playtime The personality of Kissy Missy

Kissy Missy had a very short appearance, therefore we don't know a much about her. But as Huggy Wuggy gets his name from the fact that he is supposed to embrace kids, Kissy Missy most likely gives kids kisses as well. We may infer that she probably has a nice, kind, and pleasant disposition from that. We have some faith that she is still a compassionate spirit since she assists us in Poppy Playtime Chapter 2.

After seeing Deep Sleep, we can conclude that she is a kind person—well, toy—who tries to act morally and will stop at nothing to keep her friends safe. Her holding a photo of a child at the orphanage in that scenario suggests that she probably recalls her life before this quite well, thinking back on her former happy existence.

Kissy Missy appears during Poppy Playtime

She appears in Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 as of right now, although posters in Chapter 1 show her, and we know she will return in Deep Sleep.

In Poppy Playtime Chapter 3, is Kissy Missy present?

Yes, Kissy Missy appears in Chapter 3, and the way the chapter ends gives us cause to think that Huggy Wuggy's better half will still be around in the future. Check out our guides on Poppy Playtime's CatNap and Poppy Playtime's DogDay to discover how they fit into this universe; however, keep in mind that as they are Chapter 3 characters, there may be spoilers.

Is Kissy Missy dead?

Though it's a sad topic, it's reasonable to ask in light of Deep Sleep's ending. Though we don't believe Kissy Missy is dead—we think she's too important a character to murder off-screen—that doesn't mean she isn't in danger. We're very sure that she's been abducted by the main antagonist of Poppy Playtime Chapter 4, or maybe the Prototype himself, and that we'll be heading out on a rescue expedition in the next chapter.

That's what we're telling ourselves, anyhow. We will stop at nothing to rescue Kissy Missy because we detest the thought of her being gone. But we would act in utter fury if we have to get revenge on her.

Will Chapter 4 of Poppy Playtime include Kissy Missy?

Whichever hypothesis you subscribe to, or in our case, hope for, , it seems quite likely that Kissy Missy will make a reappearance in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4.
