Chapter 4 of Poppy Playtime . With Deep Sleep coming to a close, the release of the next Poppy Playtime book is eagerly anticipated. Even though the game won't be out for at least a year, we can't help but wonder what could be in store when we visit the factory again. Yes, there aren't many specifics, but with the last chapter's climax, we have some good notions to work with.We recommend reading Poppy Playtime’s CatNap, Poppy Playtime’s DogDay, Poppy Playtime’s Kissy Missy, and Poppy Playtime’s Poppy as they all have a role in the story and are waiting for you in Playcare. These will help you learn more about Poppy Playtime Chapter 3.What is currently known about Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 is as follows.
Speculation on the release date of Poppy Playtime Chapter 4
Although a Poppy Playtime Chapter release date has not yet been announced, it seems reasonable to assume that we will have to wait a while for a Chapter 4 release window—let alone a firm date—given that Deep Sleep was published on January 30, 2024. Still, we can venture a reasonable bet. There was a 20-month lapse between the release of A Fly in Web on May 5, 2022, and the most current chapter. That suggests that Chapter 4 will probably be released in the latter months of 2025 or the first few months of 2026. If the trend of chapters being larger continues, the next installment is more likely to occur in 2026 given how much larger Chapter 3 is than Chapter 2.Furthermore, the Mob Entertainment team is probably working on Poppy Playtime Chapter 3, given that version of the game has not yet been released on mobile devices. Considering that Mob is working on versions for Fly in a Web and Deep Sleep, it wouldn't surprise us. Chapter 1: A Tight Squeeze was published for PlayStation and Nintendo Switch in December 2023.To put the creation period of Poppy Playtime even more in perspective, Mob Entertainment said in a comment on Twitter (X) that work on Chapter 3 really started in May 2023, meaning the game was actually completed in only eight months. Therefore, the release schedule is probably dependent on other potential initiatives, such as the ones that were previously stated.
Does Poppy Playtime have a trailer for Chapter 4?
Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 trailer is too soon, but we'll put our detective hats on as soon as one drops, since the Chapter 3 trailers disclosed a lot of mysteries and clues throughout the months that separated their releases. They provide so much information, in fact, that with just one trailer, we were able to piece together some
Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 theories. We are extremely pleased with ourselves that we even got a few things right.
In Poppy Playtime Chapter 4, who is the antagonist?
Although
Poppy Playtime’s Prototype seems like the most apparent pick for the villain in Chapter 4, we can't help but wonder if there isn't one more toy out there waiting to trick you. We have a few suggestions about who the villain may be, and the most credible one is known to fans of Project Playtime.Boxy Boo
Our top pick to be the primary antagonist in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 is Boxy Boo. We now know that the Prototype is the main enemy throughout the whole series, but there is a major toy that wants to kill you in every chapter. Thus far, Mommy Long Legs, CatNap, and Huggy Wuggy have been involved. What do you think? They all participated in The Hour of Joy, which is what unites them with Boxy Boo.It is covered in much more length in our
Poppy Playtime story guide, but The Hour of Joy was a slaughter that occurred in 1995—ten years before you return to the factory. A variety of toys massacred the kids and employees. "The guilty and the innocent" were slain, in Poppy's words. Poppy plays a movie for us at the end of Deep Sleep. It depicts The Hour of Joy happening in many locations across the factory. We see
Poppy Playtime's Miss Delight pursue a guy into a room, Mommy Long Legs set free on the employees at the Game Station, Huggy Wuggy butcher individuals in the reception area, and CatNap stalk around Playcare. But well, what do you know? Additionally, Boxy Boo kills a few employees in a corridor. Since he is the only character who hasn't yet appeared in the main games, we believe Boxy Boo will make an appearance in Chapter 4.Although Kissy Missy does inflict some casualties, compared to Boxy Boo, we only see her throwing a few scientists once she escapes her bonds, thus it is reasonable to infer that she only hurt those who were deserving of it. Furthermore, it seems from the way she attempts to support Poppy and us that she wants to put a stop to the deadly toys' onslaught. Even yet, we must consider every option.
A fresh plaything
Even while we believe Boxy Boo is a strong contender to be the antagonist of the next chapter, Mob could instead expose us to yet another brand-new item. This is our least favorite scenario out of all of the ones that may happen. That's not to say we don't believe the decision to go in this way makes sense; rather, it's just that we find Boxy Boo to be an interesting character who already causes a lot of trouble in Project Playtime. Even yet, a fresh toy may be entertaining; Mob hasn't disappointed us with its toy creations yet. It's difficult to speculate about the part that a new evil toy may play since we sort of peaked with CatNap adoring the Prototype and executing heretics. The item would have to have a sinister streak, but by the looks of the video Poppy gives us, every toy that participated in The Hour of Joy is found, so it seems difficult to introduce a new wicked toy in any significant manner.Nevertheless, as we descend down the rabbit hole of possibilities over the next several months, we'll keep an ear to the ground and let you know as soon as we hear about a new toy.
The tale of Poppy Playtime Chapter 4
Though we're not sure what awaits us in the next chapter, we believe we can make some fair guesses about what will happen beyond the credits in Chapter 3.
Kissy Missy
As you and Poppy go to the next elevator at the conclusion of Chapter 3, Kissy Missy assists you, but just after, you hear Kissy scream in what seems like an argument. We can only hope that whatever is chasing our pink-furred companion fails since we believe she is the one screaming. Kissy, we're coming for you. Keep going. This may be the last straw that convinces us Kissy Missy is one of the few decent guys in this hellhole. To be honest, even though it seems like she's in serious danger, we don't believe Kissy Missy is going to die. If we had to guess, Chapter 4 turns into a rescue operation where you have to collaborate closely with Poppy in order to save her companion.Immediately, the Prototype comes to mind as the one who should assault Kissy Missy, but what if Boxy Boo—like CatNap did—is carrying out Experiment 1006's orders? In any case, the fluffy pink ball is our friend, and we won't be parting with her.
The Initial Model
After what he did to CatNap, we know that the main villain is gathering parts from the other toys, so we can rule that out. Therefore, even if we think Boxy Boo is our opponent, it doesn't follow that he agrees with the Prototype. After all, despite all the horrible things Mommy Long Legs had done with Experiment 1006, she was scared of him.We predict at least five more chapters in Poppy Playtime before it's likely to be the last in the series, but even so, we anticipate learning a great deal more about the Prototype. We anticipate Mob will maintain the trend in terms of information concerning Experiment 1006 since Chapter 3 is a true eye-opener.
Ollie
We don't have a lot of information on
Ollie, the child who assists you at Playcare. From the tone of his voice, we may assume that he is a youngster, but considering that toys murdered kids 10 years ago, we believe there is much more to him than what Chapter 3 reveals. Given that he assists you after Poppy informs him about you, he is obviously Poppy's longstanding ally.Ollie may be available to assist us again if we are correct in thinking that we need return to Playcare in order to rescue Kissy Missy. He is well knowledgeable with the facility. Ollie will undoubtedly be involved in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4's plot, no matter which way it goes.Regarding Ollie, there are a few more intriguing possibilities: he might be the Prototype himself, or he could be a toy similar to Baby Long Legs. Although we can't deny how dark it would be if Experiment 1006 had murdered the real Ollie and utilized his voice, we definitely lean more in favor of his being a toy than the other way around.
Happy Animals
Alright, so this one may be a little extreme, but we would love to see more of the
Poppy Playtime Smiling Critters since we find them so fascinating. Though we are aware that the chances of all the Bigger Buddy variations having passed away are quite high—probably long before we ever got to see the majority of them—we still manage to maintain optimism. We would even be content with nothing more than a short documentary on these people in Chapter 4—anything, please, Mob Entertainment, given the rich history around them.Even while we are aware that it's unlikely that we will ever see or hear from this group again, we may yet hope. That puts an end to our doubts over Poppy Playtime Chapter 4. Of course, as we learn more, we'll add to and modify our hypotheses. Who knows, maybe a few more runs of Deep Sleep will reveal something we missed the first time around. See our
Poppy Playtime characters guide for a closer look at the people who live in the
Poppy Playtime factory.
