One of the primary original animatronics in Five Nights at Freddy's, Foxy makes many appearances in the games as various characters such as Captain Foxy, Withered Foxy, Mangle, Funtime Foxy, and more. Let us now examine all the details you need to understand this cunning fox, such as his personality, variations, and the identity of the spirit that possesses him (FNAF Foxy).

Everything in our FNAF Foxy tutorial is as follows: FNAF Foxy: Who is she?
One of the main adversaries in the Five Nights at Freddy's television series is Foxy. He is an animatronic pirate fox who began his career as a solo performer, living apart from the other animatronics, Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica, on a different stage at the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza restaurant. In 1983, Foxy was there when Freddy Fazbear's Pizza first debuted. After a number of regrettable "incidents" when Freddy Fazbear's Pizza closed, Foxy became dilapidated. After receiving feedback from consumers, Fazbear Entertainment decided that his initial appearance was "too scary" and replaced him with his more modern counterpart Mangle just in time for the debut of the "improved" Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.
Foxy jumpscares FNAF
One of the numerous FNAF Foxy jumpscares in the series can startle you. Check out the video above to watch a whopping 50 Foxy jumpscares if you want to look through them all without worrying about a game over screen (and having to start the night over again). Maybe you can get used to it so the next time the big red fox comes knocking, you won't be quite as scared.
Who is the ghost that FNAF Foxy is possessed by?
Like the other animatronics in the series, Foxy is controlled by a murder victim of William Afton's angry soul. We've come to think that Fritz, one of the lost children, is the ghost haunting Foxy since his name appears on a headstone during one of the game's endings. This belief is based on the extensive backstory surrounding the games and novels.A set of children known as the missing children (sometimes referred to as the MCI victims) were kidnapped and killed by William Afton during the Missing Children's Incident, which took place between 1983 and 1985.We don't learn anything about the Missing Children's Incident until the death minigames in FNAF 2, which give us glimpses of the killings, despite the fact that it appears as an easter egg in a few newspapers throughout the first game. We think that Fritz, who later takes possession of Foxy in order to get vengeance on William Afton, is the young player dressed as Foxy in these minigames. It is up to you whether you see the FNAF Ultimate Guide and graphic book as canonical to the game series, since they provide additional information on Fritz and the other MCI Victims.
Which FNAF Foxy variants are there?
There are several iterations of Foxy and his companion Mangle from Five Nights at Freddy's throughout the series.
Here are every FNAF Foxy variation that has been seen so far:Traditional Foxy
The original, Classic Foxy, is shown as a big, vivid reddish-orange-furred animatronic fox. He wears a patch over his left eye or above it, and he has a hook for his right hand. His upper legs are naked, his left hand's fur is worn down, and his arms, shoulders, chest, and chest are ripped, exposing his endoskeleton underneath. Foxy lacks a tail despite being a fox.Foxy has rows of canine-like teeth that protrude from his mouth in a permanent downward position. Also, in keeping with his pirate motif, he has many gold replacement teeth.
Chief Foxy
Although Captain Foxy's model is almost exactly the same as Classic Foxy's, he sports a blue frock coat with gold accents and a pirate helmet. He appears in FNAF: Help Wanted's Curse of Dreadbear DLC during the Afraid of the Dark: Captain Foxy's Pirate Adventure level. Prior to his discontinuance, Foxy was known as Captain Foxy and donned his pirate attire, as shown in the Freddy & Friends: On Tour! Show.
Dehydrated Foxy
Following the original Freddy Fazbear's Pizza's demise and years of neglect, Classic Foxy suffers significant damage that leads to what is now known as Withered Foxy. Withered Foxy's left ear is entirely exposed, and his outfit is considerably more ragged. Still, Foxy's condition is actually better than that of Withered Bonnie and Withered Chica; his fur may be frayed, but at least his whole face and jaw are still intact.
Mangle
Although Mangle isn't really Foxy, Fazbear Entertainment made him to take Foxy's place since they thought his original look was too frightening for young children. Even though Foxy and Mangle are quite different personalities, they nonetheless have certain physical resemblance. Rather to Foxy's traditional red colour palette, Mangle uses white, pink, and red instead, and their appearance more closely resembles the updated toy animatronics.Fazbear intended Mangle to look more kid-friendly, but after spending some time in Kid's Cove, kids tore them apart so much that the staff gave up trying to put them back together, leaving them there as a sort of "take apart and put back together" attraction. As a result, Mangle ends up looking pretty scary.Because of this, Mangle's endoskeleton is mostly visible, making them rather twisted. They have loose cables dangling around their ears, their bodies are deformed, and one of their eyes is gone. They also seem to be carrying Mangle's missing left eye on an additional endoskeleton head that is affixed to their arm.
Foxy's Funtime
One of Sister Location's seven main animatronics is Funtime Foxy from FNAF. Funtime Foxy has the body and face of an anthropomorphic fox with a pink-and-white colour scheme, giving the impression that it is an intact version of Mangle. Funtime Foxy, in contrast to the original Foxy, is complete and has a big fox tail.Funtime Foxy is a performer at the Funtime Auditorium, which is located east of Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental. He is essentially Foxy with a circus motif. Funtime Foxy is a member of Sister Location's Circus Baby troupe and has a voice box in their breast, glossy plastic or metal skin, five fingers, and several seams that provide a great variety of movement.
What kind of person is FNAF Foxy?
The many games and variants of Foxy that we encounter have quite diverse personalities.
Foxy has always had a stereotypically pirate-like personality and often adopts a stereotypical "pirate's voice" while speaking.
As Foxy states in Ultimate Custom Night, "you can never underestimate a pirate's cunning." or, for that matter, a fox! suggesting that Foxy is crafty, observant, and difficult to trick.Freddy makes an implication about Foxy's reclusiveness during the Freddy Fazbear Pizza Theme Song. This attribute seems to apply to Mangle and Funtime Foxy as well, since they both seem to be rather introverted and are seldom seen in close proximity to the other animatronics. Aside from that, Mangle seems traumatised by the experience of being taken apart and reassembled several times and is very aware of their deformed status.
As Withered Foxy in Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery, Foxy comes off as much more hostile and malevolent, even appearing to enjoy torturing the player. Phone Guy also said that Foxy sometimes becomes "a bit twitchy," which suggests that he's nervous or ready to hurt people.Even though Funtime Foxy and Mangle are both canonically male, Foxy's gender is still unclear. For now, that's all we have to say about FNAF Foxy.
