Vaporeon has some of the greatest stamina and HP ratings in the game of Go, not only when compared to other water-types. Since everyone is nostalgic for the first-generation Eeveelutions, Vaporeon's bulk makes it an excellent tank that can withstand powerful hits for extended periods of time. As such, you should always keep one in your box in case you need a good damage sponge (sorry, Vaporeon, but that's just the way it is).

PalkiaPalkia is the second-best legendary water Pokémon in Pokémon Go, only surpassed by Kyogre because of the pure water type's amazing mass. Her attacking stats are unbeatable by any other vanilla monster. Palkia has dubious HP values that make it something of a glass cannon, yet despite this, it makes an excellent leading Pokémon since you can give powerful blows while depending on the Pokémon's minor vulnerabilities and utilizing your shields to stay safe. Blastoise, the original, the trend-setter, and one of the most well-liked water-type Pokémon even after 25 years, continues to make appearances because to its excellent Pokémon Go stats. Gyarados and Mega Gyarados, the glass cannon of Pokémon Go's water-type lineup, attack powerfully yet need the greatest skill to use well. Gyarados is thus suited for an early part in any fight and makes an excellent lead; he is only compelled to swap out when up against an electric-type. To be honest, I prefer Mega Blastoise above Mega Gyarados since he has less vulnerabilities, but Gyarados is the best non-legendary card on this list if you want to attempt for a single Pokémon sweep.The Volcano

Although I find Volcanion's dull look offensive, its typing, move pool, and stats make it a strong candidate to be among Pokémon Go's finest water types.Volcanion covers two of the main components, thus it leaves a lot of space on your bench for other typings. It hits almost anything, and it can be used with both fire and water-type attacks. Volcanion is a smart choice if you want to unwind and don't have to worry too much about defensive covering.
Firstborn

Primarina's fairy/water dual typing and surprisingly high attack stat make her a reliable stand-in for dealing with dragons instead of Kingdra or Palkia, who are always vulnerable when facing down other dragon-types. Primarina responds to fire, dragon, ground, rock, fighting, and dark types.Primarily, Primarina must pirouette to avoid certain kinds, of sure, but few have more potential when it comes to managing game speed.
Keldeo

As the Pokémon Go equivalent of an anti-tank missile, Keldeo is capable of taking out large-bulk Pokémon, particularly normal-types like Blissey and Snorlax. The water-horse, which is not to be confused with the sea horse, has the highest HP stat of all the legendary or pseudo-legendary Pokémon on this list. Although I should be wondering why Kyogre, an actual whale, doesn't have more physical bulk, I'll just suggest Keldeo.
Empoleon

Empoleon, the steel-piercing penguin from Pokémon Go, is ideal for your next party (or for choosing pickled peppers, because, really, look at that beak). All jokes aside, Empoleon is a dual-type that makes it a strong choice for any team attempting to defend a lead that is all dragon, as the large penguin can swap in, block any ice- or fairy-type strikes, and then strike back with a powerful metal claw.
