Heaven forbid! Supergiant reveals Hades for mobile via Netflix Games.

Since its release in 2020, Zagrius' trip through hell has been portable; however, Supergiant and Netflix Games have now officially announced the release of a Hades mobile port. The title was made public by the streaming service during Geeked Week '23, along with a number of other awesome and geeky initiatives.

The GOTY-winning roguelike Hades developer Supergiant described the Netflix games version of the game as “a faithful translation of our game, featuring all the responsive action and surprises available on other platforms” in a blog post on its website. The game has completely adjustable touch controls, but it also works with any of the best phone controllers on our list if you'd rather play like a console.

Even while this new Hades is fascinating, there are a few drawbacks. The first is that Hades Mobile is a port that works only with iOS. Supergiant has "no plans for additional versions of Hades at this time," according the studio's blog post. The second disclaimer is that the game is only available via Netflix Games and won't be available for purchase on the App Store "for the foreseeable future."

When will Hades be available on mobile devices?

Netflix Games will be the only provider of Hades for iOS devices at some point in 2024. We'll be sure to keep you informed as soon as we learn more, since Supergiant intends to provide more precise information closer to the debut date.
