What is the history of BotW Link?

The protagonist of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Tears of the Kingdom is Link, a highly esteemed Knight of Hyrule. Indeed, a Link may be found in every Zelda game, however they are mostly in various forms.

Although Link's father was a Knight of Hyrule, his family was not aristocratic. Hateno Village, where he owns a house on the river, is thought to be his hometown; nonetheless, this caused him to be treated disrespectfully by nobles once he was appointed both Princess Zelda's personal bodyguard and champion.

As mentioned in his BotW tale below, Link has amnesia after the Calamity, which means he doesn't recall anything or anybody from the past, even if not much has changed in the 100 years he slept. This is due to his profound slumber in the Shrine of Resurrection.

How does the Link in Breath of the Wild feel?

Link is described by Mipha as an energetic, inquisitive, and sometimes irresponsible youngster. Though there are occasional glimmers of his former personality, he got more quieter and more detached from the outside world as he aged.

However, because of his amnesia, Link is more expressive and upbeat in Breath of the Wild than he was in his youth since he is unaware of the weight of his position in Hyrule. In Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, we get to witness the "old Link" in cutscenes as he engages in comical activities like eating contests with Goron.

Zelda and the journals also mention Link's fondness of food and his tendency toward gluttony. Once again, the Goron's Rock Roast eating competition demonstrates this.
