We need a Nintendo Switch remake of Final Fantasy 16.

Fans of Final Fantasy have been eagerly awaiting the release of the next mainline title, Final Fantasy 16, and Summer Games Fest 2023 has not only provided them with a new teaser but also a free demo. Unfortunately, this gorgeous new edition in the venerable series is only available on the PlayStation 5, but this incredible Final Fantasy 16 demake would work well on the Switch.

Disassemble? No, there isn't a spelling mistake. Demakes are similar to reverse remakes; they are not the same as Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion. A demake is the process of taking an existing game and creating it in the aesthetic of a retro system, such as the PS1 or Nintendo 64, or taking the original Crisis Core and modernizing the visuals for the next generation of consoles.

With the Final Fantasy 16 demo, Twitter user @/sz95868047 achieved just that, combining elements from the original Final Fantasy game with their own pixel graphics to create a demake that resembles a Game Boy Color. Not only may pixel graphics appeal to your nostalgic side, but some respondents also said that they like visually basic games because they force you to utilize your imagination.

This Final Fantasy fan demake would be a great addition to the library as Nintendo keeps adding games to the Nintendo Switch Online Game Boy games bundle. Although the Final Fantasy 16 demo is undoubtedly amazing, we would really want to see the game released on the Nintendo Switch in some capacity so that we may play it and not miss any of the action.
