Samsung verifies that the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 will have Galaxy AI.

The highly anticipated release of Samsung's next foldable phones is scheduled for early July. Surprisingly, both the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 will have the same Galaxy AI functions that S24-series owners are used to.

In a blog post published by Samsung, Won-Joon Choi, EVP and Head of Mobile R&D Office, clarifies that "The introduction of Galaxy AI on the Galaxy S24 series was only the start." "Further optimize the Galaxy AI experience for the upcoming foldable devices," is what the firm intends to do.

"With Galaxy AI, these two complimentary technologies will together unlock all new possibilities. Our foldables are the most versatile and flexible form factor in Samsung Galaxy," the statement says. Soon, third-party messaging applications that facilitate audio calls will also be able to use the Live Translate functionality that is now available only via Samsung's own calling app. The AI translation will use on-device technology even while it is operating in a third-party app to guarantee the highest level of privacy.

Nor is Samsung stopping there. Choi continues by stating that as NPU technology advances, an increasing number of AI functions will be able to be operated locally instead of requiring a cloud connection.
