Hides a list of two characters
Below is a comprehensive list of every character from Hades 2 that we have encountered so far. We're sure there are people in Supergiant's roguelike sequel that we haven't yet come across, so be sure to keep a watch on this list, which we'll update as soon as we do.
Melino«
The heroine of Hades 2, Melinoë is the younger sister of Zagreus, everyone's favorite demi-god and the epitome of demure beauty. Despite being a chthonic goddess connected to dreams and ghosts, she is really kind and sincere. Melinoë is fated to enter Tartarus, the lowest portion of the Underworld, and vanquish Chronos, the titan who escaped, kidnapped Hades, her father, and took over her residence.
Hecate Hecate, the goddess of necromancy, witchcraft, and crossroads, is also Melinoë's tutor. Frequently connected to the moon, she supports Melinoë in her endeavor to vanquish Chronos. Actually, she was the one who chose Melinoë to be the titan's killer. As a small kid, she reared and trained Melinoë, and now, at the conclusion of Erebus, she 'helps' by serving as the game's first boss. Charon
The identity of Charon will be familiar to anyone who have played the original Hades game. The Stygian boatman serves as a merchant on numerous levels of the Underworld, caring only for gold. During every run, Melinoë may exchange gold for power-ups and boons from Charon. He will simply groan and grunt at you, so don't waste your time attempting to speak to him. Dora
In Melinoë's bedroom, Dora, a cute little ghost, honed her haunting abilities. Despite her efforts at spookiness, this feisty little shadow quickly becomes friendly and welcomes Melinoë back after a fruitless run. Schelemeus
In Hades 2, Schelemeus goes by his full title, but those who played the first game would know this stocky fellow as Skelly. He resumes his regular duties as a punching bag and training dummy so Melinoë may practice using her weapons by striking whatever life remains in his bones. HypnosHypnos was introduced to us in the first Hades game, when he welcomed Zagreus after unsuccessful runs and was remarkably upbeat and alert. He's sleeping soundly at Melinoë's house in Hades 2, as is his right. Though Melinoë would do well to brew some strong coffee, we're certain she will soon figure out a method to rouse the god of slumber. Nemesis
You're probably acquainted with the phrase "Nemesis," even if you're not familiar with Greek mythology. She is the daughter of the night goddess Nyx and Retribution personified. She has been assigned the responsibility of keeping an eye on the Crossroads, Melinoë's base camp, and she is still there. She believes that her abilities are being squandered and would much rather be the one battling Chronos, which is why she is often grumpy about her task.Odysseus
If you know anything about history, Odysseus is a seasoned strategist who often gathers at the Crossroads and was the brains behind the Trojan horse. Supporters of the original game speculated that Skelly, Zagreus' punching bag, may be Odysseus; however, because the devilishly attractive warrior is lounging at the Crossroads, it seems the two are unconnected. Or maybe he's simply made an excellent skincare purchase. The Narcissus
Narcissus is a name you're definitely familiar with, much like Nemesis. This long-dead hunter is considered to be the most gorgeous man in the world, yet he hides his handsome appearance under a cowl for unknown reasons, making him the epitome of narcissism. He shows up from time to time while Melinoë is running in Oceanus, where there are many of water pools where he may spend time staring lovingly at his reflection. He will shower Melinoë with sympathy presents while she is traveling.Arachne
Arachne is an eight-legged spider that is the loveliest thing you will ever see. She enjoys spinning silk into gorgeous, strong costumes for Melinoë to wear when she goes on her runs in Erebus. Each of these silk dresses offers a unique set of boons, a certain amount of armor points, and a whole new outfit. She is such a cute little spider.Moros
Moros is the son of Nyx and the embodiment of pure evil. He arrives after Melinoë performs the Fated Intervention invocation, looking moody and melancholy, of course. Melinoë receives the Fated List of Minor Prophecies from him, which she must complete in order to get additional money.Cerberus
As the last boss in Hades 2's Fields of Mourning, Cerberus—once the best lad and Zagreus's tri-headed pet—now functions as a distorted, deformed version of himself. We are all quite saddened by Cerberus's transformation into an Infernal Beast, but maybe he might be saved from oblivion with the help of a few more Satyr Sacks.Selene
Melinoë's great-aunt is Selene, the goddess of the moon. She can only appear at night (obviously), but she gives her niece numerous strong Hex boons to aid her in her journey through the Underworld. Even though she doesn't show up very often, she's a pleasant sight in the shadows.Hades
Hades, the deity of the Underworld, is the father of Melinoë and the prisoner of Chronos in the depths of Tartarus. When Melinoë eventually fights her way to the lowest part of the Underworld, she will discover her father, who will confer boons to assist in her struggle against the titan of time. Hades asked Hecate to watch after his daughter.Eris
The Rift of Thessaly's primary boss encounter is the younger sister of Nemesis, who personifies conflict. In her attempt to bring havoc to both the Earth and the Underworld, she teases Melinoë and promises a terrifying confrontation.Order
As the phantom of the emptiness that gave rise to the Titans, chaos is sympathetic to the interactions among the gods. Nonetheless, they bestow blessings onto Melinoë in a manner reminiscent of how they treated Zagreus during the first game. But be advised that there are some reasonably chaotic debuffs associated with their gifts. So make a sensible decision!Scylla
Scylla, the last boss in Oceanus, is doing her best Ursula imitation. At the conclusion of the underwater portion of the Underworld, Melinoë was treated to a spectacular performance by the beautiful nymph turned hideous sea monster, Scylla, and her band, the Sirens. Before you break through her shell and overcome her, put out her sirens, block your ears, and resist the urge to let the music entice you.Victorians
Since others will recognize this mysterious demi-god as Hercules, Heracles, the son of Zeus, may have a name you are acquainted with. The Roman name for him is really Hercules (Disney intentionally botched it up, I promise). Despite his introduction in the first game, we never had the opportunity to meet him. However, this time, he assists Melinoë in her mission.Polyphemus The cyclops who serves as the boss encounter in the City of Ephyra is Polyphemus, the son of Poseidon, the sea deity. Even though our hero, Odysseus, blinded him years ago when he went on the rampage in Polyphemus' cave, the one-eyed monster is still a formidable foe.Medea
The shadow witch Medea will lend Melinoë her nightly curses to aid her in her attempt to overthrow Chronos. Although she bestows "curses," she may be located in the City of Ephyra and offers some rather wonderful benefits.Aphrodite
One of the Olympian goddesses, Aphrodite is the embodiment of beauty and love. Aphrodite doesn't show up during the first run, but she will sometimes show up thereafter, bestowing blessings that will render Melinoë's enemies defenseless and feeble. It's what love does to us.Apollo
Apollo is the Olympian god of light and Artemis' twin brother. Melinoë's enemies may be rendered helpless by his useful boons, rendering them more vulnerable to attack and simpler to eliminate. Despite being twins, he is a smooth-talking, charming deity who becomes quite irritated when Artemis calls him "little brother."Artemis
Apollo's twin sister, Artemis, is an Olympian goddess of the hunt. With her support, Melinoë may label adversaries, rendering them more vulnerable to critical damage. With her boons, defeating opponents will be easy. She has one of the most potent DPS builds in both games, I think.Demeter
The Olympian goddess of the seasons, Demeter, is shown as being cold and bundled up in furs to stay warm. In the first game, Demeter didn't show up until Zagreus got to the surface; however, in Hades 2, she will help Melinoë almost right away. She may now use her boons to freeze adversaries, which opens up some amazing setups for crowd control.Hephaestus
The Olympian god of the forge, Hephaestus, makes his appearance in Hades 2, having only been referenced by Zagreus in passing in the first game. His boons provide progressive harm to foes by inflicting Vent. Gamers have praised Hades 2's portrayal of Hephaestus, which has the god of workmanship as an amputee riding a wheelchair made to resemble a masterfully constructed chariot.Hera
The goddess of marriage and ruler of Olympus is called Hera. After the battle with the Titans, she wed Zeus and gave Zagreus her Heart-Seeking Bow. Her Hitch boons, which cause opponents to suffer damage when other affected enemies are hit, now help Melinoë battle Chronos.Hermes
Hermes, the gods of Olympus' messenger, is now a double agent in Hades 2. He is a quick little trickster. Hermes was going to be the one, if anybody was going to do it. Having gained entry into Chronos' army, he utilizes his insider knowledge to help reverse the tide and bestow blessings onto Melinoë.Hestia
The goddess of fire and hearth is this fiery old woman. She is the great-aunt of Melinoë and grants boons that gradually burn opponents with injury. Because of her ability to stack effects, Hestia may significantly alter the course of a battle.Poseidon
One of the few gods who will not come to Melinoë on her maiden journey is Poseidon, the Olympian deity of the sea and brother of Zeus. However, he does appear very often after that, and Slip, his new status curse, is different from Ruptured from the first Hades game. This effect now knocks back and does more damage to foes, which is useful when Melinoë is up against waves of attackers.Zeus
Zeus is well known to everybody. Zeus is aware that everyone is aware. It's the god Zeus. Melinoë's initial run out of the Underworld will not see the god of sky and thunder, ruler of Olympus, but he will show up later to grant her some quite frenetic boons. After taking a certain level of damage, foes are struck by lightning bolts as a result of his new status effect, Blitz. What a flash of creativity. Chromosomes
The main antagonist of Hades 2. The giant of time Chronos is the one who abducted Hades, Melinoë's father, to govern the Underworld in his stead. We know that with the support of her strong family, Melinoë can stop Chronos from waging war on Olympus and eliminating every god there, thus we know he has no chance. That, however, sums up every individual we've encountered in Hades 2. When traveling with Melinoë, we'll be sure to keep this list updated in case we come across any more gods, nymphs, or otherworldly beings.
