Monster Hunter and Sonic Frontiers collaborate on free DLC.
It seems like Sonic Frontiers will be a blue bolt Breath of the Wild-ified. In broad, vast plains, it's difficult to avoid drawing parallels. However, one way it sets itself apart is by announcing a ton of DLC ahead of time. The most recent is a partnership with Capcom for a few things with a Monster Hunter theme.
Arriving only one week after the Sonic Frontiers release date, Sega has unveiled a slew of goodies, such as Rathalos-inspired apparel, cookery-related camping gear, and an in-game mini-game (that seems to involve frying a large piece of meat). Additionally, the Sonic Frontiers Monster Hunter DLC is totally free, which makes the partnership merely a pleasant little diversion.
I love Monster Hunter Rise so much that this free DLC might be the tipping point for me to finally pre-order Sonic Frontiers. It was released a few months after the big expansion known as the MH Sunbreak DLC, which we like (for a detailed overview of our opinions, see our Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak review).
