There might be two significant camera updates coming for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
As usual, the next generation of Samsung flagships isn't slated to release until January 2025, but rumors about it are already starting to circulate. According to the most recent Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra camera upgrade report, there will be two significant camera enhancements that the S24 Ultra strangely lacked.
The prolific leaker Ice Universe posted on Weibo (via Android Authority) stating that, contrary to prior allegations that it would shrink to a triple camera array, the S25 Ultra will still have a quad camera arrangement on its back. According to the article, the ultrawide and 3x telephoto receive a much-needed improvement, while the primary and telephoto remain same.The S24 Ultra, which is now regarded as one of the greatest Samsung phones at the time of writing, replaces the 10x telephoto lens with a 5x telephoto lens that has a bigger sensor and greater quality. In contrast, the 10MP 3x telephoto hasn't changed since the S21 Ultra. A 10MP resolution in 2024 won't wow anybody, and the little sensor also produces subpar low-light performance. Therefore, the idea of replacing it with a 50MP lens is very intriguing.By today's standards, the 12MP ultrawide also has a very poor resolution. In addition to having the ability to record video at 8K resolution, the switch to a 50MP sensor puts the phone in line with other flagships like the Pixel 8 Pro and Honor Magic6 Pro.
