The Turtles get a much-needed shell improvement from World of Tanks Blitz.

Thanks to their partnership with World of Tanks Blitz Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the "heroes in a half-shell" now have full-body armor. Get ready to join forces with these retro ninjas in May to celebrate turtle strength, fend off the evil Shredder, and, of course, reap some fantastic rewards.

Not only did the turtles enter World of Tanks Blitz last week to get tanks ready for their impending war against Shredder in their Into the Sewers event, but this incredible crossover was only getting started. Although there is already a fantastic library of TMNT games on Switch and mobile devices, we still like seeing them make appearances in other games.

"Operation Cowabunga," an incredible 60-stage event featuring reptile-themed incentives including player avatars and tank skins that depict Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo, will begin on May 1st, only on World of Tanks Blitz. You may get a famous camo skin for the P.44 Pantera—inspired by none other than the villain Shredder—if you can beat him.

Ilya Batsianouski, the producer of World of Tanks Blitz, spoke with us about the choice to collaborate with TMNT. He said, "You're absolutely right that TMNT are the heroes from our childhood, and they still hold immense popularity across all generations even today," when we suggested that nostalgia for our childhood had a role. We were delighted to learn about the possibility of working with them to jointly develop something unique.

We thought it strange that the World of Tanks Blitz team would include TMNT alongside tanks, other from the vague armor connection we stated before. As such, we were interested to see how they would incorporate these usually tank-less properties into the game. "World of Tanks Blitz is always about a 'touch of madness,'" according to Batsianouski. In our game, players may take control of the unyielding Vindicator from the Warhammer 40k universe, go on missions in a swift Dracula tank, or prove their mettle in GroundTank, which is based on the universe of Dune: Part Two. TMNT will undoubtedly carve out a unique niche for itself in World of Tanks Blitz since we value enjoyment, uniqueness, and immersive experiences above everything else.

On May 1, 2024, in World of Tanks Blitz on all platforms—iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch—"Operation Cowabunga" will commence. You won't want to miss the TMNT World of Tanks Blitz giveaway that we'll be doing next week, so keep an eye on the SmartRead Twitter page.
