How to complete Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion: The fastest path
The Splatoon 2 () For many, Octo Expansion was a pleasant surprise. In addition to providing you with a ton of additional single-player material to go through, these levels are among the hardest in the whole series. There's an A-star single-player campaign to go along with the already fantastic multiplayer experience.
You may play as an Octoling in the multiplayer mode after finishing the Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion. This modifies the appearance of your character but has no influence on gameplay. An emblem of distinction? A strategy to make a statement in the crowd? Just a cool exterior? Many aspire to be Octolings, for whatever reason you may suppose.
So continue reading if you wish to master this single-player campaign and just get that wonderful prize. In addition, there are some very nice things throughout the Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion, so if it piques your interest in the future, I strongly suggest taking on all of the challenges it presents. The locations of the Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion thang are listed.
There are eighty stages in the Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion, each of which corresponds to a distinct Deepsea Metro station. But there's a way to skip forward to the very end and take control of the game as an Octoling. To access the final assignment, just follow our method below to get all four thangs.
In the Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion, how can I get all four things?
The fundamental thang
The first thang is situated near the Grab & Go Station, station B09. The shortest journey there involves heading west from Central Station and finishing seven floors before arriving at B09. The simplest approach is to change at B01/A03 to Line I and ride that I05/B08; from there, there are three routes that are all the same length. The first option is simply one stop north.
Below is a thorough overview of this route. Although this is the fastest route, some of the stations on Line G are very difficult, so it's not the simplest. Line B can be taken all the way to B09, but it requires you to go through a significant number of additional levels.
A05 - Station for False Plastic
There are several aggressive Octolings at the first station. There is only one adversary with a blaster in the first room. There are two in the second, one with a roller and one with an umbrella. There is just one adversary in the last chamber, and they have two Splat Duelies, so be careful. They also instantly get the Inkjet special.
When taking on these AI foes, your standard Splatoon gaming approach is applicable. Continue your journey, locate a high point, and fire your missiles. Each chamber has useful towers that provide you with a fair amount of elevation. Run and hide until the Octoling with the Inkjet in the third chamber runs out if you're having trouble defeating them; this will make them much easy to eliminate.
Roll Out Station
A04
This station puts you in the Baller special, which is a bit of a platforming challenge. To reach your target, roll about in your ball. Here, jumping with a lot of momentum and using B is the best course of action. Remember that the Baller can scale inkable walls, so you have much more mobility than you may imagine. Just persevere—some trial and error is unavoidable.
Wassup 8-Ball Station B01/A03
To bring the ball to its target, you must shoot at it in this instance. In the first level, you should leave the ball behind and go ahead to eliminate any opponents, who will shoot at the ball in an attempt to knock it off. There's an elevator after the initial wave of attackers; aim at the fan to make it move, and make sure you reach the highest point before attempting to launch the ball onto solid ground.
There's a little problem in the final segment. You have to get the ball in the glowing red circle, ride the elevator that activates it, climb the building, defeat the baddies, find the key, and then use a balloon fish to launch the ball upwards. Just be careful to schedule it properly.
I09 - Poppin' Fresh Station
This level is a pain in the butt—a rail-riding balloon-popping level. It will need a lot of practice. Press B to change rails, choose the weapon that you feel most comfortable with, and fire balloons as quickly as you can. It's difficult, but once you get the hang of it, it's very rewarding. Wishing you luck!
I08, Radio Station
This is where you meet Octostomps for the first time. It's quite simple: simply stay back, wait for an opportunity to strike, and then bomb their butts. Similar Octo Commanders appear later on; these tentacle-wielding creatures use gatling guns. You should wait till after they have finished attacking to attack since they have a cooldown. There are a few more annoying adversaries, but as long as you keep advancing, everything will work out.
You may ride the train left or right after the last checkpoint. It's a matter of taste, but I believe the left route to be a little simpler. Seize the rail and fire through a maze of adversaries. This area is plenty of hiding spots, so simply back down and take a break if you start to feel overwhelmed. Reach the top of the gauntlet and defeat the foes on the untraveled route by using your unique abilities there. That was a difficult one, hehe.
Ride with Me Station (I07/G07)
This is another very difficult one. You've completed the simple part when you leap over the vehicles and ride the rail to another vehicle. After that, there are a ton more foes to defeat and more car-jumping. Because of the limited movement in this area, eliminate each adversary one at a time, then leap onto their moving platform to continue.
I06 - All Eyez Station
Once again, the main objective is to eliminate the opposition. The drawback is that the grappling hooks are your primary means of propulsion. While not too tough, it may take some time. Use the cover, be patient, and push through the crowd.
Righteous Rails Station, I-05
This train journey is enjoyable. As you pass the blocks, shoot them by jumping on the rail. When you encounter a grate, press B to swap tracks and transform into a squid. After all the fighting before, this is a welcome diversion.
Grab & Go Station
B09
You made it, whoa. Proceed down the hallway, take in the fantastic soundtrack, fire away, and collect your first thing.
THE ADJACENT THANG
The surrounding thang is located just next door to the fundamental thang. Simply take Line I for four stops, change at I03/E01, and arrive to E02 to get the surrounding thang. You will pass through a few challenging stages before reaching your target, but this path is much faster than any other. You may begin to see that these four things produce something that resembles a blender. But for what purpose?
Can't Touch This Station (I04)
This one is rather harsh, but you should be OK if you continue to abide by the guidelines you've already learnt. The objective is to reach the goal without coming into contact with any enemy ink. You cannot walk on it or even incur any harm. The easy fix is to eliminate adversaries and then clear your way through, but this is easier said than done.
I03 - Absent Whammy Station
In No Whammy Station, you must use a turret to protect an orb from a flurry of blows. Idea is straightforward, yet difficult to understand. In the later levels, the goal is to concentrate on the larger rockets. Recall that you have five lives, so don't worry if you need to use a few to get the feel of things.
E02 – Station for Bust and Run
That was a pleasant little trip, wasn't it? You'll be halfway there if you grab the nearby thang.
The sealing segment
It's time to tackle the eastern section of this Deepsea Metro, so go back to where you began. Take Line A east, make a change at C03/A08, then proceed two stops north on Line A. Make a change at D06/C01 and go two stops west. At J03/D08, make a change and go north for two stops. At the end of the line, make another change to reach H06. It's almost over for you now.
A06 - Bounce with Me Station
Now now we're back to simpler levels. The name of Bounce with Me Station tells it all: finish this platforming segment by using the yellow bounce pads. For a higher bounce, hold down B. Simple as pie.
A07 - Maverick Station
You may now use an inkjet once again. Try not to tumble into the abyss as you fly over obstacles and platforms, using the grappling hooks to propel yourself forward. This is simply plain old jet-pack fun, no special technique involved.
A08 - Bumpin' 8-Ball Station
This is another ball-rolling exercise. Don't let the ball fall off as you shoot it to the goal. The same guidelines apply as you've previously finished a more difficult version of this level in the Wassup 8-Ball Station: eliminate any adversaries in your path before returning for the ball.
C02 - Shrinky Ink Station
As this is your first experience with a limited supply of ink, proceed cautiously while using your trigger finger. After your voyage on the revolving platform, avoid using ink on the adversary. To make the sponge bigger, climb the wall, and shoot ink-filled pufferfish, you can only utilize ink. There will be plenty of leftovers.
C01 - Station of Radical Rails
Let's resume our rail-riding! You have one minute to ride up the rail tower and shoot every block in this really entertaining game. If you fall, don't worry—just climb back up on the rail and go on since the ground is comprised of those yellow bounce pads.
Targetbuster Station, D07
You'll probably detest the time restriction in this level even if you liked it in the previous one. 35 targets must be destroyed in 35 seconds. The execution is not too difficult, but there isn't much time left. Just make sure you don't pass up the complimentary ink refills along the way, and get cracking.
Girl Power Station
D08/J03
Do you know anything about Girl Power Station? It is the Deepsea Metro's most difficult station overall. Similar to No Whammy Station, your task is to protect an orb from several assaults. Here, however, there's a difference: these attackers are Octolings, and formidable ones at that.
You may choose any weapon when you enter the arena, however for multiplayer games, it's recommended to go with the one you feel most comfortable with. After that, utilize the launchpad to engage in combat. Remember that the arena is filled with really helpful specialties that are waiting to be discovered. As soon as possible, go directly to the rear of the arena where the Octos spawn and eliminate them.
Octos spawn on the left and right side of the arena after the first wave of opponents in the rear. Choose a side, eliminate them, and swiftly cross over to the opposite side. Two additional Octos will then appear in the square's rear corners. It's simple to get engrossed in them, so exercise caution.
It may get a little chaotic after that, so utilize your specialties. There are two more after that, on the left and right. The Inkjet performs very well when there are many Octolings crammed within the sphere. You can get over this challenging stage if you can repel them for a sufficient amount of time. It can need many attempts.
Matchmaster Station, J02
An enigma! What a pleasant surprise after that awful experience at the previous station. Here, you have to align the form of the large construction with the movable wooden crates next to it. It's really simply a boring game of "shoot the orange," as all the boxes you need to demolish are indicated in orange. You'll pass if you do that and don't fire any non-orange boxes. Simple.
J01 - Station Cooling for Your Jets
Time for the boss. Fortunately, this one is simple. First, remove the tentacles that are supporting this guy who looks like a UFO. If you need to gain some more height, use the wall boosts. Shoot his large tentacle while he's down (gross). The monster in phase two is supported by four tentacles. Shoot the tentacle when it emerges again after eliminating them and dodging the enemy's blows.
The boss puts up his best effort in the last stage. It's simple to get overwhelmed when a ton of ink is flowing in your direction. Remove the tentacles, hide behind the pillars, and force the boss's tentacle to reappear. After a few attempts, presto! Completed.
H06 - Pause & Jump Area
Well done; it is undoubtedly the toughest run of levels on this path. One more to go, then just one.
The accuracy gap
Proceed in the same direction as before, but remain on Line J and make a change at J05/C14 to reach the last intersection at the Smash & Dash Station, C13. The last step in determining what these items form is to do that.
J04 - Footloose StationHere, you must stand atop destructible platforms and destroy every enemy within the allotted time. You won't have much room if you demolish the region yourself, so be careful. Take down the opponents who fire slowly after concentrating on the ones that shoot quickly.
After you defeat the initial wave, there's a sniper and a tentacle with a Gatling gun. Keep in mind that Gatling gun foes have a protracted cooldown after an assault. Two Rocket Octobombers will spawn and start splat-bombing everything once they're down. You've finished the station if you eliminate them fast enough to prevent them from destroying the surface you're standing on.
J05/C14-Move 'n' Stick Station
To reach the objective at this station, you must ride rails and avoid hazards. To cause the green ink rollers to spin, shoot the targets. Fire till the way is unobstructed. Apply the launchpad, then proceed with the subsequent set of rails in the same way. Don't forget to leap off with B to swap tracks. The guidelines are the same for the last step as well; just remember not to get too trigger excited or the roller may spin around and whack you in the back.
Smash & Dash Station
C13
Congratulations, you've reached the end! Return to Central Station, and you'll find the surface gateway, which will lead you to the last boss after a challenging seven levels.
There are many more Deepsea Metro stations to conquer if you're in the mood for more. You can also find the hidden final boss if you finish them all. Although it's a difficult struggle, the effort is definitely worth it. whether you've exhausted all the options in Splatoon 2, there are many more games available; see whether The Artful Escape Switch review is another Switch fix you're looking for.
