The top Mario Kart circuits

It is a difficult task to choose the best Mario Kart tracks, considering there are over 170 distinct courses in the thirty-year history of the franchise. Nevertheless, we at SmartRead believe we're capable of doing the task, so we've reviewed every game to choose which ones we'd put in a fictitious hall of fame. Now, should we see whether your preferred was included in the list?

Make sure to give our other fantastic material, which covers Switch games and beyond, a Luigi death gaze before we go headfirst into the remainder of this guide. We have articles on the top Switch games (), top fighting games (), top strategy games (), top simulation games (), and many more. Now, prepare your red shells because we are going to get into some heated debates as we discuss our list of the top Mario Kart tracks.

The Wii's Maple Treeway

Even if part of Maple Treeway requires you to be launched by a cannon, there's something cozy and welcoming about the course. In addition to Wigglers roaming in all directions and some lovely lengthy corners for large drifts, there are the orange tones of autumnal colors. Although it's not quite as challenging as other of Bowser's Castles, it's still rather enjoyable because of a few secret passageways and large ramps.

Delfino Square

Nintendo doesn't give Super Mario Sunshine the credit it deserves, but Delfino Square is a great homage to the GameCube platformer and ranks among the greatest Mario Kart circuits ever. This course is all about timing—you can jump off to go to the air, but we also enjoy watching contented Piantas go about their daily lives.

Pinball game Waluigi - DS

The most current iteration of the popular racing game Waluigi Pinball, which debuted in Mario Kart DS, is included in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Avoid the enormous metal balls as you are knocked around a big pinball board, and pay close attention to paddles and bumpers. Despite the complete insanity of this tune, many people still find it endearing because of Waluigi's distinct personality and fantastic music.

N64 - Toad's Turnpike

Yes, it's difficult, but can you improve? Millions of people have fond memories of Mario Kart 64, and we're willing to bet that some damaged controllers are the result of Toad's Turnpike. Because this course is on a highway with incoming vehicles, it requires both ability and alertness. Naturally, being struck by a barrage of red shells, big lorries, and approaching automobiles is enough to make anybody go insane. Look both ways, then!

Ninja Hideaway - TourNinja Hideaway, the most recent song on this list, is included in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: Booster Pass DLC but is originally from Mario Kart Tour. Discover the Ninja Manor, stay clear of obstacles and bashful men, and compete to be the best on a constantly evolving path. In addition, Wario's trademark mustache and garlic abound in this song. Is he a covert ninja, perhaps?

Gamecube – DK Mountain

One track in particular sticks out among the Donkey Kong series' lush rainforests and thick flora. Mario Kart Double Dash's DK Mountain shoots players out of a cannon and up to the top of a cranky volcano, where they must dodge falling rocks to descend. This is a challenging course with several bridges and falling debris, which is part of what makes it so rewarding to become good at.

SNES

Ghost Valley 3Ghost Valley 3 is a nightmare, which is appropriate. It's definitely not one for novices, with its tight turns, zigzagging lanes, and flaws in the track. Even still, even after all these years, it's still one of the earliest Mario Kart circuits that is very difficult. Nintendo Switch Online offers the original SNES Mario Kart for anyone who would want to give it a try. Unless, of course, you're afraid of ghosts.

3DS Rainbow Road

Choosing only one Rainbow Road is difficult since every entry in the Mario Kart series offers a different interpretation of the idea. However, with good cause, Mario Kart 7's Rainbow Road is a popular favorite. This challenging level includes the moon's surface and Saturn's rings in addition to the well-known Rainbow Road, making it a really interplanetary journey. It is also playable in full magnificent HD as it is a part of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: Booster Pass DLC.Okay, everyone, that's all for now! These are our top choices for Mario Kart courses, but feel free to comment on any other track you think we should have included by visiting the SmartRead Twitter account.
