A plush Pikachu may be seen during the Pokémon World Championships.

Ahead of the 2024 Pokémon World Championships, which are scheduled to take place this summer from August 16–18 at the Hawai'i Convention Center in Honolulu, The Pokémon Company International has just released some brand-new information. The Worlds-exclusive Pikachu plush and the Paradise Resort promo card that would be awarded to the deserving winners were unveiled to eager fans (like us) who watched the official livestream of the 2024 Pokémon North America International Championships, which took place in New Orleans over the weekend.

Every participant in the Worlds tournament is expected to get a welcome package filled with gifts, and this time around, the unique Pika plush and card are included. However, not only the players themselves will be able to get this adorable and cuddly Poké-friend. As the championship competition progresses, the Pikachu plush will be on sale at the Pokémon Center pop-up shop, giving the fortunate spectators the opportunity to own the cuddly for themselves.

At the weekend's North America International Championships in New Orleans, a number of highly talented Pokémon trainers competed in the Go and Unite mobile apps, as well as the Pokémon Trading Card Game's Scarlet and Violet. They had to fight hard to earn a spot in the World Championships, where they may win the much desired Pikachu plush. Of course, there's the extra benefit of winning, but if it were up to us, we would be more thrilled about the plush.

When the competition begins on August 16, you can watch every moment of it live on the official Pokémon stream. We can't wait to see who wins in Honolulu this summer. The official Pokémon World Championship website has a detailed schedule of events, and you can also learn more about the Play! Pokémon initiative.
