Three versions of the FNAF character Freddy

*FNAF Freddy Fazbear

The main character of the series is Freddy, who serves as the mascot of the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza business. The character in question is an animatronic bear that appears in various incarnations throughout the games. He was one of the first animatronics in the pizzeria when Freddy Fazbear's Pizza first debuted in 1983 and now serves as the main vocalist for the restaurant's band.

But after the 1987 "bite of '87" event, which resulted in a child's injury, he fell into disrepair and became Withered Freddy. To commemorate the official reopening of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza in November 1987, Toy Freddy took the place of Withered Freddy.Further information on him may be found in our FNAF Freddy guide.

Since then, he has made several appearances, as shown below.

Variation Appearances Description

Rockstar Freddy Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria  Featuring the familiar Freddy design, Rockstar Freddy has brown fur, rosy red cheeks, and joints similar to Toy Freddy’s. He has a yellow star on his chest, a metallic purple hat and bowtie, and his jaws are separated by an endoskeleton mouth and four steel bars (all the better for chomping you with)
Lefty Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria A black version of Rockstar Freddy with a red hat and bowtie and one all-black eye, designed to house the Puppet and her spirit to bring them back to the Pizzeria as part of Henry’s plan

Three versions of the FNAF character Bonnie

Bonnie

FNAF

Bonnie, the guitarist for Freddy Fazbear's band, is an animatronic rabbit who was among the first animatronics at the restaurant. Similar to Freddy, he made his debut in 1983 but fell into disrepair in 1987. He then assumed the name Withered Bonnie until Toy Bonnie took his place. As you can see below, he has also made appearances in the series in several guises.

Variation Appearances Description
Withered Bonnie FNAF 2 A decayed version of Bonnie who’s missing an arm and his outer skin is torn to show the endoskeleton of his foot and hand. His face is almost completely destroyed, leaving a gaping hole of wires, two rows of teeth on his bottom jaw, and glowing red eyes
Toy Bonnie FNAF 2 A colorful, toy-like version of Bonnie with bright blue skin, rosy red cheeks, a red bowtie, and green eyes. He has opposable joints like a toy, and is the upgraded replacement for the original Bonnie
RWQFSFASXC (Shadow Bonnie) FNAF 2, FNAF 3 A mysterious, completely black version of Toy Bonnie with white, glowing eyes and teeth
Nightmare Bonnie FNAF 4 A monstrous version of Bonnie with charred, black fur, a hole in his chest, a red bowtie, and multiple rows of vicious teeth
Rockstar Bonnie Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator, Ultimate Custom Night Pretty much an upgraded version of Toy Bonnie in appearance, Rockstar Bonnie has blue skin, pink cheeks and knees, golden stars on his chest, and a red bowtie. He has a red bass guitar

Bonnie from FNAF also has a striking resemblance to Springtrap, sometimes referred to as Spring Bonnie. But because of his important function in the game and his own variety of permutations, we've given Springtrap his own section later on.Three versions of the FNAF character ChicaChica FNAF

Another iconic mascot from the early Freddy Fazbear's Pizza restaurants is this strange (and horrifying) mechanical chicken, which debuted in 1983. She serves as Freddy's band's backing vocalist and is often seen with a piece of cake and wearing a bib. She also fell into decay, becoming Withered Chica and then Toy Chica in her stead. She has since made a variety of appearances, as noted below.Check out our tutorials to find out much more aboutFNAF's Chica.
Variation Appearances Description
Withered Chica FNAF 2 A decayed version of Chica who is missing her hands, which are replaced by tattered wires, and her arms appear to be stuck in a T-pose. She has two rows of teeth in her open beak, which is constantly wide open
Toy Chica FNAF 2 A cutesy version of Chica with shiny, yellow skin, a colored bib, rosy pink cheeks, and long eyelashes, she’s normally seen holding a cupcake on a plate. She loses her beak and eyes when she gets off the show stage
Phantom Chica FNAF 3 A shadowy version of the original Chica, with charred, yellow skin that takes on a greenish-yellow hue. She’s missing an arm and has piercing, white eyes and an open mouth showing her teeth
Nightmare Chica FNAF 4 A monstrous variant of Chica with rows of razor-sharp teeth. Her skin and bib are tattered, showing her endoskeleton beneath, and the cupcake in her palm has taken on a similarly monstrous appearance
Rockstar Chica Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator, Ultimate Custom Night A cross between the original Chica and Toy Chica, Rockstar Chica has bright yellow skin, blue cheeks, and pink eyes. She has red lipstick on her beak, her signature bib (which now says ‘let’s rock’ instead of ‘let’s eat’), and she’s holding a pair of maracas
Three versions of the FNAF character Foxy or MangleThe FNAF Foxy/Mangle is Among the other vintage animatronics, Foxy, the fox figure from the first game, is a bit unique. He seems injured from the beginning, with parts of his endoskeleton showing through and his hand taking on the shape of a hook. Along with Freddy, Chica, and Bonnie, he is not a member of the original band and instead performs on the Kid's Cove, a different stage. After the Bite of '87, he too was left in a state of disarray, turning into Withered Foxy. But unlike the others, he wasn't replaced with an ordinary toy version—Mangle took his place.Fazbear Entertainment developed Mangle, a severely broken fox animatronic, since they thought Foxy's look was too menacing. Mangle's look was deformed because the kids at Kid's Cove tore it apart so much that the staff gave up trying to put it back together. Instead, they used it as a "take apart and put back together" attraction.Check out our guide to find out more aboutFNAF's Foxy, as it delves into his demeanour, cameos, plot role, and more. These are every iteration of Foxy and Mangle that can be found in the games.
Variation Appearances Description

Mangle FNAF 2 The colorful, redesigned counterpart of Foxy, Mangle has a white, pink, and red color scheme, vicious, sharp teeth, and multiple, exposed endoskeleton parts hanging off it
Phantom Foxy FNAF 3 A hallucination of a burnt, ravaged Foxy, Phantom Foxy closely resembles his withered version, though has sustained heavier damage, with multiple parts of his body and suit missing
Phantom Mangle FNAF 3 Phantom Mangle has a similar appearance to its original form, though it’s burnt and damaged, with dark skin and glowing, white eyes
Nightmare Foxy FNAF 4 A monstrous version of the original Foxy animatronic, Nightmare Foxy has tattered fur, exposed legs, and two rows of vicious teeth
Funtime Foxy Sister Location Funtime Foxy appears to be a cross between the original Foxy and Mangle designs, with white, pink, and red coloration, green eyes, and a speaker on its chest
Lolbit Sister Location A recolored, disembodied Funtime Foxy head
Rockstar Foxy Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator A red Foxy animatronic with the classic eyepatch, Rockstar Foxy also has a green parrot on his shoulder, a peg leg, a yellow star on his chest, and an accordion
FNAF character SpringtrapThe FNAF Springtrap is Spring Bonnie, a golden bunny, is initially introduced to us in the FNAF 3 minigame that takes place on night five. But this is also the first time we see Springtrap, an animatronic monster that makes even Circus Baby seem amiable and who ends up becoming a crucial part in the series.William Afton's spirit became caught in a worn-out, decomposing Spring Bonnie suit called Springtrap after his original body perished. In FNAF 3, he emerges as the primary enemy and the only corporeal animatronic, and he thereafter makes several appearances throughout the series.

Beneath the suit, you can see parts of William Afton’s decaying body and skeleton
A large group of FNAF characters Additional FNAF animatronics

Balloon Boy

Appearances in: Ultimate Custom Night, Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, FNAF 2, FNAF 3, FNAF AR: Special Delivery, and FNAF: Help WantedOne of the toy animatronics that first debuts in Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is Balloon Boy, also referred to as BB. You most likely recall the sound of this eerie, Pinnochio-like oddball thudding about in the vents if you've ever dipped your toes into this game. In 1987, the eatery fashioned him after a balloon seller for the recently renovated Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. The first humanoid animatronics added to the chain were BB and JJ, and they rank among the scariest, in my view. Something about their eyes simply speaks to me.

JJ

Appearances in: Ultimate Custom Night, Freddy Fazber's Pizzeria Simulator, and FNAF 2.Initially appearing in Five Nights at Freddy's 2, JJ is a secret animatronic that is essentially a female counterpart of BB. She seems to be extremely quiet and patient, and although though she only makes sporadic appearances throughout the series, she looks and acts a lot like BB. But I have a good feeling that she is planning something. The Puppet

Appearances in: FNAF: Help Wanted, Ultimate Custom Night, Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, FNAF 2, and FNAF 3.It's also indicated that this towering and fearsome creature first debuted in the original Fredbear's Family Diner, but it first appears in Five Nights at Freddy's 2 as one of the toy animatronics for the renovated Freddy Fazbear's Pizza restaurant in 1987. Its visage resembles that of a Pierrot, the standard melancholy clown who first appeared in Italian and French pantomimes in the late seventeenth century. The puppet is tormented by Charlotte Emily, a little child who was Henry Emily's daughter and William Afton's first victim. Charlotte Emily took on the shape of the puppet in order to exact vengeance on her attacker.Check out our guide to find out further more aboutFNAF’s Puppet.

Baby Circus

Appearances in: AR Special Delivery, FNAF: Help Wanted, Ultimate Custom Night, Sister LocationCircus Baby, the mascot of Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental, is also known by the nickname Baby. She is infected with the soul of Elizabeth Afton, the daughter of William Afton, who was taken and swept by the monster even though her father warned her to avoid it. She is thus a sorrowful, eerie, but smart animatronic that talks in a quiet, soothing voice while being upset at being confined to the institution. In addition, she exhibits crafty, abusive, and manipulative tendencies, demonstrating her role as the mastermind behind the events of Sister Location. She also manifests as Scrap Baby, a newly created design that she pieced together inadvertently after her devastation. Her face and torso are ragged and fractured, her hair is now made of wires, and he has replaced her hand with a massive claw that is gritted.Ballora

Appearances in: FNAF AR: Special Delivery, Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, Ultimate Custom Night, Sister LocationBallora is the most lifelike FNAF animatronic to date; she looks just like a real dancer. She's got a purple tutu with golden orbs adorning a blue bikini. She has a reputation for being lethal and alluring while maintaining a cool head. She is a passionate singer who may be cruel and cruel-laughing.Bidybabs

Appearances in: FNAF: Help Wanted, Ultimate Custom Night, Sister Locationa pair of little, scary automatons who resemble babies and have sociopathic tendencies and cunning. They are often seen accompanying Circus Baby. In the Custom Night edition of Sister Location, there is an alternative variation of the Bidybabs known as Electrobab.Minireena

Appearances in: Sister Location, Ultimate Custom Night, FNAF AR: Special Delivery, FNAF: Help WantedThe Minireenas are tiny, eerie dolls that resemble puppets and go with Ballora around her exhibition.

A Man of Music

Appearances in: Ultimate Custom Night, Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, and FNAF Security BreachThe eerie animatronic known as "Music Man" has dark eyes, a frozen smile, and legs that resemble spiders. Though he seems happy and enthusiastic, he takes his responsibility as an entertainment extremely seriously. If you are too loud, he will jump-scare you by smashing symbols in your face.

Ennard

Appearances in: FNAF: Help Wanted, Ultimate Custom Night, Sister LocationEnnard is a hideous creature composed of wires, scraps, and a clown-like face. He is a warped combination of all the Circus Baby's Pizza World animatronics. Circus Baby is using this horrifying combination as part of their escape strategy.El Chip

Appearances in: FNAF: Help Wanted, Ultimate Custom Night, and Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria SimulatorA Mexican-themed version of Funtime Freddy, El Chip's Fiesta Buffet's mascot. Whenever he interrupts you with a commercial for his restaurant, you will attract animatronics who are sensitive to sound and will not stop him in time.

Roxy

Appearance in: Security Breach from Five Nights at Freddy'sOne of the eerie animatronics in Security Breach that you must dodge with Freddy's assistance is Roxy. She's one of the numerous jumpscarers you have to stay away from, but you can find her hiding places because to her enormous keyboard. See our FNAF Roxy guide for additional information about this character.

Passable Songs

Appearance in: Ultimate Custom Night, Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria SimulatorAs their name implies, the animatronic band Mediocre Melodies are not very good. With their silly attitudes and basic physics, they're basically a less expensive version of Freddy Fazbear's band, but they still look a lot like the original FNAF animatronics. The following people make up the Mediocre Melodies:
  • Ned Bear
  • Happy Frog
  • Mr. Hippo
  • Pigpatch
  • Orville Elephant
FNAF character VannyAdditional FNAF characters

Beyond the animatronics, there are a tonne of additional FNAF characters, each with a distinct function in the franchise. Since we would be here for months if we listed them all, we have included the ones below that we believe have the largest influence on the story and gameplay!Note that there are a lot of spoilers in this part, so continue with care.

Afton, William

It all started with William Afton, the creator of Afton Robotics and co-founder of Fazbear Entertainment. He eventually plays the primary adversary of the FNAF series, assuming the persona of a cold-blooded serial murderer who killed over a dozen children. He is a sadist and a terrible person who brings about the demise of his business by continually demonstrating his ability to harm anybody, whether they be friends, relatives, or complete strangers. He makes many cameos throughout the series' vintage portions, alluding to his background and possible role in the killings. Additionally, he has the supernatural capacity to evade death, coming back in many resurrection forms regardless of how he passes away. It is him who has the above-mentioned Springtrap versions.Check out our guide for a comprehensive look atFNAF's William Afton, including his backstory, personality, position in the plot, and more.Elizabeth Afton

Elizabeth Afton, the younger sister of Michael Afton and the daughter of William Afton, is shown as a little child with green eyes and blonde hair. She adored her father and all of his inventions, but one day she disobeyed his orders to avoid the Circus Baby animatronic, which ultimately resulted in her untimely death. Consequently, Circus Baby became icy, merciless, and aggressive as a consequence of Elizabeth Afton's spirit possessing her.

Afton, Michael

It was discovered that Michael Afton, also going by the identities Eggs Benedict and Mike Schmidt, was the primary character of the FNAF games. He is the elder brother of Elizabeth Afton and the son of William Afton. He is also seen as either Crying Child's older brother or Crying Child himself. In the original FNAF game, you play as Michael Afton, the security guard that the animatronics mistake for his father. Similar to his family, the majority of knowledge about his character and life is gleaned via the classic minigames you play throughout the series, however the Survival Logbook also contains brief details about things like his love and artistic ability.Similar to his father, Michael Afton escapes death and, at one point, resurrects as a corpse to serve as Ennard's human host. Finding his father is his primary objective throughout the series, however it's unclear whether he plans to murder him when he finds him.Henry Emily

Henry Emily, who was formerly the main character of Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator and went by the nickname "Cassette Man," turns out to be William Afton's old colleague. Afton ran Fredbear's Family Diner and was involved in the development of the first animatronics.Henry Emily has been absent for years, as Phone Guy notes in FNAF 2, and Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator explains. More of his backstory is revealed during the game's Insanity Ending, demonstrating that even though he assisted Afton in creating the animatronics, he was unaware that his partner intended to use them for evil. It is also revealed that William Afton contemplated suicide out of remorse and despair after his daughter Charlotte Emily was the first kid to be slain. As he burns down the facility and destroys all of the animatronics—including the one that William Afton is inhabiting, Michael, and himself—Henry Emily commands the animatronics to free their souls and sentences William Afton to damnation. He says one final time to Charlotte Emily before he passes away, expressing regret for not rescuing her and requesting that she take a nap.

Emily Charlotte

Charlie, whose real name is Charlotte Emily, is Henry's daughter. She was the first kid that William Afton killed, and he subsequently got hold of the Puppet.

Sobbing Youngster

The meek and innocent kid of William Afton, known as The Crying Child, is severely bullied by his elder brother, who many fans believe to be Michael Afton. As the primary character in the FNAF 4 end-of-night minigames, he is revealed to have been bitten by "the bite of '83," which is probably why the original Freddy Fazbear Diner was shut down and renamed Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. He was already afraid of the animatronic Fredbear, so when his elder brother and pals laughed him up towards it, that's when the bite happened. He was slain by the animatronic Fredbear biting down. He may have had the Golden Freddy animatronic after this, either by himself or with Cassidy, one of the other lost kids.

Vanny

Vanny, the aforementioned serial killer William Afton's follower of the computer virus Glitchtrap, looks like a person dressed in a patchwork rabbit outfit. She is the main character in FNAF: Help Wanted, as revealed via the Princess Quest minigames. However, Glitchtrap corrupted her later on. She is first seen to be unsure about her mission to murder people, but she eventually overcomes this and becomes cruel as her corruption deepens.Make sure you read our FNAF Vanny guide to learn all there is to know about this mysterious character.Gregory

Gregory, a playable character in Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, is a young child who spends the night confined inside a Freddy's location. He strikes into a conversation with the broken Freddy, and the two end up cooperating to get Gregory through the evening. See our FNAF Gregory guide for more details.Vanessa

Vanessa is one of the few non-animatronic villains in the series; she works as a security guard at Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex and is always searching for Gregory. Though unproven, there is a suggestion that Vanessa and Vanny might be the same person. See our FNAF Vanessa guide for additional information on this character. There you have it, everyone, our comprehensive guide to every FNAF character.
