Every Splatoon 3 boss and strategies for defeating them

Nintendo demonstrated its ability to compete with industry heavyweights like Overwatch with the introduction of Splatoon 3, a competitive multiplayer game that not only suits the Nintendo Switch brilliantly but can also be a very compelling single-player experience. Thus, visit Alterna if you need a respite from the chaos of multiplayer.

The majority of Alterna is covered in muck, with pipes underneath it that you may zip down to finish a little, independent level. But there are five bosses in Splatoon 3. Return of the Mammalians are scattered throughout the single-player game, waiting to spoil your day if you're not ready.

We now know where to locate each Splatoon 3 boss and the most effective approach to take them down. This tutorial is intended to make the process of doing tasks a little bit simpler, since some are just more difficult than others or downright frustrating. After you're done, you can read our opinions in our Splatoon 3 review, listen to the music in our Splatoon 3 soundtrack, or pick the best weapon for the task with our Splatoon 3 weapons guide and tier list.

Bosses in Splatoon 3

The single-player mode of Splatoon 3 has five bosses, which are mentioned below.

Sure, with their corny titles, they all sound adorable and hilarious, but some of you may think it's not humorous to take them down. How then do you take them out?

Octobot King, DJ Octavio

All you have to do to take on DJ Octavio is finish every level in the Cuttle, the beginner's section. If you want to keep playing the game, you have to do this in order to advance in the first place, therefore it is inevitable.

DJ Octavio inks the grass as he launches his mech suit's hands at you. This is simple at first: simply aim the inkgun away from the hands. When the disk jockey fires enough ink at the hands, they ultimately retaliate, driving him out of the mech for a simple splat.

However, DJ Octavio uses an ink vac later in the boss encounter, sucking up whatever ink you attempt to fire. Press R to launch your small friend in his direction at that moment. He will then stop the vacuum and restore order to the world.

Simply keep inking his metal hands, obstruct his suction, and slap him as he leaps out of the mech suit from this point on. After finishing, you may descend a great distance into Alterna to access the actual single-player portion. Wishing you luck!

FRYE (THE EEL DEAL)You must go to the signals on each of Alterna's islands in order to unleash the following three bosses. You must finish a number of levels, gather power eggs, tidy the islands, and go in the direction of the signal in order to defeat them.As she shoots eels out of a big container she stands atop, Frye may be a touch picky. Splat 'em is the sole goal, no matter what shape these eels take. Occasionally, they explode into the earth, whirl over the surface, or drift off to one side. Simply aim and fire. She'll stop when you've splattered enough. Now is your time to swim up the cube, ink the wall, and splat Frye. Once you've done this three times, you'll be declared the winner and get to resume exploring Alterna's subterranean realm.

SHIVER (THE BANDIT WITH COLD BLOOD)

Shiver shoots ink at you and sometimes throws herself into the arena as she rounds the stadium on her shark. The primary goal is to cause damage to both her and the shark, therefore it's best to timing it when she's not moving or firing. She becomes trapped in the center of the ring when enough harm has been caused. If you do a lot of damage, the cycle will restart. Repeat this three times, but watch out for her quick reflexes—she can hit you harder than you may imagine.

THE HYPE MANTA STORM: BIG MAN

It's one of the more unusual boss fights since Big Man hovers under the ring and sinks into it. His manta ray outline is where you need to aim your weapon so that it splits into tiny manta rays. Continue hitting until Big Man pops up off the ground, leaving him exposed. After that, start shooting.During the last stage of the three, the terrain shifts and becomes uneven, and Big Man begins firing missiles at you. Make sure you have enough ink on the ground to make a quick escape from an approaching bomb since this may be rather difficult. But the rules stay the same, so when you've split and splattered this marine monster sufficiently, he gets exposed. Just be cautious; you can succeed.(URSANINE ANOMALY #3) MR. GRIZZYou must beat Big Man to reach the game's finish in order to face Mr. Grizz. All you have to do is keep reading the narrative to finally meet this enormous man. But defeating him is no simple thing.Mr. Grizz will hurl missiles from atop a massive rocket and may even have a few octotroopers to ruin your day. Take down these fishy troops and get golden eggs as you make your way towards Mr. Grizz. Press R once you're near enough to fire your tiny friend with the golden eggs you've gathered. Similar to while clearing the Alterna map, aim for the peculiar, colorful balls that have a bulbous shape.Naturally, things grow a little more difficult as you go along. Everything remains the same, but there's one thing to be cautious of: when Mr. Grizz begins to roll the rocket. Make sure you swim in the opposite direction of the rotation to avoid falling into space and having to restart.Even after you've completed this three times, it won't end. This large bear is a cruel parent. DJ Octavio is available to assist, granting you command of his hovercraft. Navigate through the barriers, leap out to defeat any foes that appear, and proceed in Grizz's direction.Suck up one of Grizz's bulbous parts when you get to him. Be patient since this may need some time, and other factors may impede your ability to vacuum. I hope you're prepared for a tremendous performance once you've performed this three times; the finale is stunning. As an aside, should you want to, you may see a little cutscene in which Mr. Grizz explores his possible outcomes if you lose this last part of the boss fight. It's a lot of fun. That's all, however, to defeat these Splatoon 3 monsters. See our Splatoon 3 equipment, Splatoon 3 Salmon Run, and Splatoon 3 hairstyles guides for further information.
