Daylight killers: Dead
The Trapper, Evan MacMillan
Though it has never been shown that Evan, one of the original three, was involved in the disaster, he is a ruthless murderer who overly idolizes his father, which resulted in the deaths of over 100 miners.
Weapon:
Evan opts to use a cleaver that he made himself from of metals that he obtained in his family's mine.Special benefits:
Perk | Effect |
Unnerving presence | The Trapper’s presence alone is enough to bring fear to his victims, and should they be within his terror radius, two things happen:
|
Brutal strength | Evan is a strong individual, and this allows him to shatter the defences of his victims This perk increases the speed at which the Trapper breaks pallets and walls, while also upping the damage he causes to generators by 10%, 15%, or 20% |
Agitation | In case it wasn’t obvious, Evan is a sadistic individual, and the thought of hooking his prey causes the following:
|
A bear trap is the Trapper's power. He has two at the beginning of the contest, and six more appear as the game progresses. Any survivor who walks in one of these, as you would expect, becomes immobile; but, The Trapper himself may also get ensnared in his trap; that's karma for you. When you go into a bear trap while carrying a victim, the victim will escape, and you will be left there watching them go.
The Wraith: Philip Ojomo
The Wraith is the second of the original three. Once upon a time, he was a kind guy who worked at a scrap yard, trying to make ends meet while ignoring the illegal activities that occurred there. He didn't care as long as Philip wasn't involved. That is, until he finds a guy inside a car's trunk. After letting him escape, the guy is killed by Philip's employer before he can go too far, which inspires Ojomo to kill his boss and flee.Azarov's Skull, as its name suggests, is a skull, albeit one that Philip tore from a living person. This is the weapon used by the Wraith.Particular benefits:Perk | Effect |
Predator | Philip is a formidable tracker, and this allows him to hunt down his prey quickly
|
Bloodhound | The Wraith smells the blood of his would-be victims, helping him to track them down
|
Shadowborn | The Wraith was born in the shadows, as such, he has great vision in the dead of night
|
A crying bell is the Wraith's power. This cloaks the murderer, enabling him to stalk his victim in the darkness. The bell, however, may be heard up to 24 meters away, while the whoosh sound can be heard up to 40 meters away by the survivors. Oh, and the curtain lifts to reveal your bloodthirsty nature to your victims when you're within a 20-meter radius of them.
The Hillbilly: Max Thompson Jr.
To say that Max Thompson Jr., the last of the original triad of killers, had a disgusting childhood would be an understatement. His parents were affluent landowners who locked him up since they had a deformed kid they didn't ask for. But vengeance is a delicious dish, and Max cruelly served it cold when he killed his parents.Weapon:The Hillbilly employs a cattle hammer, which is a very effective tool for mass executions.Special benefits:
Perk | Effect |
Enduring | Years of torture and torment means Max is resilient to pain
|
Lightborn | The Hillbilly has adapted to the light, using it to his advantage
|
Tinkerer | When survivors repair generators to 70%, The Hillbilly gets two benefits:
|
The Nurse, Sally Smithson
2016 saw the arrival of Sally Smithson as the murderer in The Last Breath Chapter of Dead by Daylight. She had a wonderful life once, but her husband passed away while at work, leaving Sally to work at a crazy institution where she was abused both physically and emotionally by the residents. Naturally, there comes a point at which an individual loses their composure. Regretfully, Sally's breaking point claimed the lives of almost 50 patients as well as four employees.Weapon: The bonesaw, which the nurse employs, is ideal for slicing into flesh.Particular benefits:Perk | Effect |
Stridor | The Nurse has a keen ear
|
Thanatophobia | Nothing destroys courage faster than realising your own mortality
|
A nurse’s calling | It’s a nurses duty to tend to the wounded
|
The Nurse is able to blink thanks to Spencer's last breath, which causes her to leap across the afterlife and land someplace else on the map.
The Shape by Michael Myers
You know, Michael Myers can be pleased to stab people even when it's not Halloween. As a part of the Halloween Chapter in 2016, the horror icon struck Dead by Daylight. Viewers of his films are aware that he will do whatever it takes to murder his victims. He was once a helpless child—that is, until he killed his elder sister.Weapon: Weapon:Myers, predictably, uses a kitchen knife, much like he did in the Halloween films while pursuing Laurie Strode.Special benefits:
Perk | Effect |
Save the best for last | Michael’s obsession for a single survivor grows
|
Play with your food | Michael’s obsession for a single survivor grows
|
Dying light | Michael’s obsession for a single survivor grows
|
He has evil inside him, which gives him the ability to see his victims clearly. As he follows them, more evil power grows within him.
The Hag / Lisa Sherwood
Before being abducted and subjected to torture by cannibals, The Hag was raised in a peaceful community. While being kept captive, she saw other people pass away. She persisted anyway, and when her time for death eventually arrived, she kept her word to seek vengeance on her brutal captors. Sadly, this also meant that Lisa's humanity had vanished, leaving a wicked entity that was hungry for blood in its place.Weapon: The claw is the weapon used by the Hag.Special benefits:Perk | Effect |
Hex: the third seal | A hex that hinders a survivors ability to read auras
|
Hex: ruin | A Hex that hinders a survivor’s ability to repair generators
|
Hex: devour hope | A hex that relies on hope
|
The Hag is able to draw a phantasmal sign thanks to a blackened catalyst. Up to 10 of these may be used simultaneously. The phantasmal mud confuses survivors and follows every fleeing survivor into its sights.
The Doctor, Herman Carter
In 2017, Dead by Daylight received The Doctor, who is a little crazy. His only task as a prisoner was to get information, which he interpreted to mean by whatever means necessary, and here is where his career as a killer began.Weapon:The Doctor's go-to weapon is an old favorite of his, the stick. It consistently retrieves data, even when other tools are ineffective.Special benefits:
Perk | Effect |
Overwhelming presence | Herman needs only show up to inflict fear upon his prey
|
Monitor and abuse | The Doctor plans his assault and carries it out in fine detail
|
Overcharge | Herman damages a generator which forces the next survivor to use it to face a difficult skill check
|
The survivor's level of insanity rises if The Doctor does shock treatment or a static blast while Carter's spark is active.
The Huntress, Anna
Anna has a terrible history. Her upbringing in the woods taught her how to be resilient, but it also meant that she was reared alone with her mother. She was forced to take care of herself after her mother was taken from her due to a terrible accident when she was a little kid. She soon developed a need for company and started robbing the local peasants' girls.Weapon:Anna uses a wide axe to pursue her prey, one that may be used to cut trees or limbs.Special benefits:
Perk | Effect |
Beast of prey | Anna’s need to commit a murder is so strong that she becomes unpredictable
|
Territorial imperative | If Anna is at least 32 metres away from a survivor who enters the basement, she can see their aura for three seconds |
Hex: huntress lullaby | Survivors receive a progression penalty of up to 6% upon failing a skill check |
At the beginning of the trial, the Huntress is armed with five hunting hatchets, which she may use to launch distant attacks on survivors.
The Cannibal, Bubba Sawyer
Let me introduce you to another iconic figure in the horror genre: Leatherface, the violent lunatic from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series, who goes by Bubba Sawyer's moniker. Indeed, the mask he dons is fashioned from a victim's face. His narrative does have a hint of melancholy, however, as murder does not provide him with the sexual satisfaction he desires. Instead, he seeks his family's blessing. He fears that he may be wounded.Weapon:This man uses a chainsaw, as you would assume, but not as his main weapon. Rather, Bubba seems to be attempting to soften his victims by chasing them with a sledgehammer.Special benefits:
Perk | Effect |
Knock out | Bubba inflicts so much pain upon a victim that crying out for help is painful in itself
|
Barbecue and chilli | Upon hooking a survivor, the Cannibal can see the auras of all his would-be victims for four seconds, should they be more than 40 metres away from a hook
|
Franklin’s demise | A single hit from this monstrous man causes survivors to drop items
|
This is it, Bubba's chainsaw is the Cannibal's power, and you have three charges against you at the beginning of the trial.
The Nightmare – Freddy Krueger
One, two, Freddy is on his way to get you. That's right, folks—Freddy Krueger himself is the stuff of nightmares. Although Freddy comes from two separate histories, Dead by Daylight accepts the 2010 version, which depicts him as a child abuser at a preschool until his victims' parents set him on fire. Now that he's back, he's more determined than ever to terrorize everyone he feels have wronged him.Weapon: Surprise (kind of), Freddy utilizes blades in his glove, so the better to sever you with, my darling. His only intentions while creating this weapon were pain and murder.Special benefits:Perk | Effect |
Fire up | Freddy becomes more motivated the closer his prey gets to escaping his grasp
|
Remember me | Freddy focuses on one survivor
|
Blood warden | An exit gate must open before this perk activates
|
Dream demon is Freddy's ability to cause survivors to go into microsleep, which draws them into the dream world. Once they're here, they lose awareness and are vulnerable to The Nightmare's tricks.
The Pig, Amanda Young
Crazy people exist, and then there is Amanda Young. If you've seen any of the first three Saw movies, Jigsaw's apprentice will probably seem familiar to you. She had once fallen into a trap of her own, but she made it out by accepting the fresh lease on life that John had given her. She set her traps, unlike her master, to guarantee that anybody caught in them would die—there is no option but to die.Weapon:Given Amanda's cunning, it seems fitting that she would use a concealed blade.Special benefits:
Perk | Effect |
Hangman’s trick | There’s no escaping this trap
|
Surveillance | If the regression progress for a generator is interrupted, you can see its aura for up to 16 seconds
|
Make your choice | This perk activates when survivors are rescued from hooks, and you’re at least 32 metres away
|
Well, it makes sense that Jigsaw's baptism, which gives Amanda bear traps in reverse, is Amanda's power. The Pig may put a survivor in the device if they are near death, at which point the game can start.
The Clown, Jeffrey Hawk
When Jeffrey first began his murderous career, he killed innocent animals as a toddler and gradually moved on to bigger victims as he grew older. When his father eventually discovered some of his "trophies," Hawk decided to join a traveling circus, where he eventually became a clown and had plenty of opportunities to conduct the most horrible crimes while on the go.Weapon: Run away from the world if it hands you a Jeffrey. If you don't want to be cut by his butterfly knife, just flee.Particular benefits:Perk | Effect |
Bamboozle | Vault actions are up to 15% faster and call upon The Entity. You also block that vault location for up to 16 seconds, stopping survivors from getting through |
Coulrophobia | This terrifying clown need only be near to instil fear
|
Pop goes the weasel | This perk activates after hooking a survivor
|
The Spirit – Rin Yamaoka
Rin came home one day to her mother's screaming. She ran upstairs to see her mother dead in the bedroom, and her father had committed the crime. As expected, Rin's father turned his knife on her, hoping to kill his daughter the same way he had killed his wife. Rin, however, struck back. Even so, her father managed to overwhelm her, but she vowed then and there that she would get her retribution, either in this life or the next.Weapon:She is armed with a broken katana, the same one that killed Rin and her mother.Special benefits:
Perk | Effect |
Spirit fury | Every time you break a pallet, it increases The Entity’s wrath, until eventually, it breaks these obstacles for you |
Hex: haunted ground | Two hex totems spawn on the map
|
Rancor | A single survivor becomes The Spirit’s obsession
|
Rin can move more quickly by using Yamaoka's haunting, and even if she can't see the survivors, she can still see all of their claw marks. The Spirit emits a horror radius from the husk it leaves behind when phase-walking.
Julie, Joey, Frank, and Susie – Legion
The four members of The Legion are pals who decided to take up murder as a pastime. Although most of them didn't want to, they nonetheless went ahead and did it. Frank leads the ring, the other three trailing after him like misplaced pups.Weapon: These are more murderers who like drawing a knife in close quarters.Special benefits:Perk | Effect |
Discordance | If a generator that is a minimum of 64 metres away from you is being repaired by at least two survivors, you can see a yellow aura
|
Mad grit | There’s no cooldown period for missed attacks while carrying a survivor
|
Iron maiden | Any survivor that exits a locker suffers from exposed for 30 seconds
|
Rapid fury enables you to move quickly and assault many survivors with a crazed fervor. Use this ability carefully however, since it prevents you from seeing bloodstains or scratches.
The Plague of Adiris
Adiris was a very pious lady who served as Babylon's high priestess until a sickness spread over the city and infected her. She was hideously disfigured by her illness, and despite her best efforts to placate the gods, it was ineffective. As a result, she fled the city with her supporters. She prayed one more time before she was covered in black vapors and eventually died of the plague.Weapon: Adiris wields the profane censer, which she formerly used to take care of the gardens in her previous role as a priestess.Special benefits:Perk | Effect |
Corrupt intervention | You pray for their misery
|
Infectious fright | When one survivor is dying, all survivors within The Plague’s terror radius scream, showing you their location for up to six seconds |
Dark devotion | Adiris obsesses over one survivor
|
Vile purging gives Adiris the ability to infect survivors, rendering them damaged if their illness meter fills up. When an environmental item is struck, it is infected and may harm survivors. Oh, and your victims will probably vomit, which spreads the infection to both people and things.
Ghost Face by Danny Johnson
Over the years, Ghost Face has assumed several identities; nonetheless, in Dead by Daylight, Danny Johnson—formerly Jed Olson—is the man behind the mask. He decided to go on a killing rampage in Roseville. He was a contributor to a newspaper, and let's just say that he took his job so seriously that he felt compelled to bring his tales to life.Weapon: Danny wields a tactical knife, which has taken countless lives over the years, much like every other Ghost Face worth their salt.Special benefits:Perk | Effect |
I’m all ears | If a survivor uses a rushing ability within 48 metres of you, their aura is visible for six seconds I’m all ears takes at least 40 seconds to cooldown |
Thrilling tremors | The Entity blocks all generators that Survivors aren’t repairing when you pick up a survivor This takes at least 60 seconds to cooldown |
Furtive chase | Danny focuses on a single survivor
|
The Oni wields a relic from their family. The Yamaoka sword is inherited by future generations—or was, until this cold-blooded killer got his hands on it.Special benefits:
Perk | Effect |
Zanshin tactics | Kazan’s aura reading abilities are second to none
|
Blood echo | Your victims suffer together
|
Nemesis | Those that wrong The Oni shall pay
|
Yamaoka's fury is the Oni's ability, allowing you to absorb your victims' blood orbs and fill your power gauge. After it is fully charged, The Oni may unleash a furious rage known as Blood Fury, which grants it two new skills: Demon Dash and Demon Strike.
The Deathslinger, Jacob Quinn
Caleb, whose parents were Irish, had a difficult time getting by in the Midwest of America. The little child's father taught him how to make new apps when he one day found his engineering tools. As he grew older, Caleb started to develop more evil gadgets, which he finally used effectively after having his patents stolen. The robbers made a fatal mistake when they decided to sell them for a profit.Weapon: Death to Bayshore: A sharp weapon that delivers more than a small prick, used by the Deathslinger.Special benefits:Perk | Effect |
Gearhead | You must hit a survivor two times with a basic attack to activate this perk, and it lasts for a maximum of 45 seconds
|
Dead man’s switch | The Deathslinger takes a liking to one survivor, though to activate this perk you must hook the obsession
|
Hex: retribution | This hex summons totem poles on the map
|
The Executioner, the Pyramid Head
We are all aware of this beast. Pyramid Head may have appeared in the film or in a cameo in a later Silent Hill game, even if you haven't played the game yet. If not, it's a horror emblem that many gamers have in their heads; you've probably heard of this monster at least. Its goal is to subject anybody who enters Silent Hill's grotesque hallways to punishment, pain, and agony.Weapon: Weapon:Pyramid Head, not unexpectedly, hunts his victim with the legendary knife.Special benefits:
Perk | Effect |
Forced penance | Anybody that attempts to stop The Executioner from fulfilling its duties will be punished
|
Trail of torment | Make sure your victims walk this punishing path
|
Deathbound | Everybody suffers together in Silent Hill
|
Alright, here's a murderer that will surprise you. Talbot is a scientist that strives to push boundaries and uses dubious procedures. After using several victims to produce a medication that could tolerate agony, he was eventually abducted and taken to a tomb that had hundreds of corpses. He was beaten and left for dead in the grave since these were the guys who died as a result of his efforts. Nevertheless, he was saved and brought to a convent. Sadly, all he would experience here would be murder and bloodshed. A genius bereft of brilliance and his own mind.Weapon: The Blight wields the bonebuster, which does just what it claims to—that is, break bones.Special benefits:
Perk | Effect |
Dragon’s grip | Once you kick a generator, the first survivor that attempts to repair screams, revealing their location to you for four seconds
|
Hex: blood favour | Successfully damaging a survivor with an attack pleases The Entity. As a result, it prevents all pallets from being pulled down within a 32-metre radius of the survivor |
Hex: undying | If a survivor is at least two metres away from a dull totem, you can see their aura |
Talbot's power is blighted corruption, which when activated, makes it possible to travel quickly. However, it also prevents Talbot from attacking. It does, however, aid in reducing the separation between you and your victims.
The Twins: Victor and Charlotte Deshayes
Due to their conjoined twin status, these two were highly popular in the 17th century. They were happy when they were little, that is, until their mother was executed on suspicion of witchcraft, taking away The Twins' goodness. Over time, they developed a strong animosity against humans, particularly after their separation. Nevertheless, they managed to reunite, resolved to inflict suffering and agony on anybody who had the misfortune of coming across them.Weapon:Charlotte and Victor wield the Marseille blade, a weapon that is certain to take many lives.Special benefits:
Perk | Effect |
Hoarder | When this perk activates you get a loud noise notification in a minimum radius of 32 metres. This happens when:
|
Oppression | A difficult life for The Twins means a difficult life for others
|
Coup de grace | Each time a survivor repairs a generator you get one token, which you can use to increase the distance of your next lunge attack by up to 60% |
As a result of the Twins' blood tie, you may unleash Victor and launch potentially catastrophic attacks. You have the option to control any of The Twins at this point by switching between them.
The Trickster: Ji-Woon Hak
Ladies and gentlemen, we understand it that he's attractive, but that doesn't mean you should make yourself a target by obsessing over him. Ji-Woon, a gifted vocalist, formed a band, which turned out to be a fatal decision since the narcissist was uncomfortable telling others about his fans' love and adulation. As a result, he did the most logical thing in the world: he started a fire that devoured his comrades. He then pretended to be a hero and enjoyed the admiration others showed him, but inside his head, he lost it and started an awful rampage that would go down in history.Weapon:The polished skull smasher is used by the Trickster.Special benefits:
Perk | Effect |
Starstruck | This perk activates a couple of benefits:
|
Hex: control the crowd | If survivors rush through a window, The Entity blocks it for at least 14 seconds, potentially trapping another victim |
No way out | When you first hook each survivor, this perk gets a token and it activates when an exit gate is powered
|
T-Type Nemesis – Nemesis
Any lovers of Resident Evil out there? There is, of course, and you are all familiar with him. In Resident Evil 3, Nemesis first appeared when Umbrella gave it the mission of eliminating every member of S.T.A.R.S., including the main character Jill Valentine. It's obvious that this makes it a skilled killer, therefore you should avoid it.Weapon:Nemesis has more than enough power in its fists. To be honest, we're relieved that it has chosen this course of action rather than shooting us with a rocket launcher.Special benefits:
Perk | Effect |
Lethal pursuer | As the trial begins, you can see the auras of all survivors for up to nine seconds |
Hysteria | Hurt one to terrify the others
|
Eruption | After kicking a generator its aura becomes yellow
|
The t-virus that mutates you, giving you more skills and ways to fight, is its power. Nemesis, for instance, develops a tentacle that enables you to attack from a distance.
The Cenobite: Elliot Spencer
Greetings from another horror classic - who would have guessed that a game featuring a lot of murderers would have so many legends? The most well-known role of Pinhead is that of the Cenobites' leader in the Hellraiser world. Like his demons (or angels, depending on your perspective), he enjoys the rush of pleasure and suffering for himself and other people.Weapon: The Cenobite decides to use a hook and chain assault, which is the most effective method to combine pain and pleasure.Special benefits:Perk | Effect |
Deadlock | Whenever survivors fully repair a generator, The Entity blocks the generator with the most progression for at least 20 seconds |
Hex: plaything | This perk can only activate if there’s at least one dull totem on the trial grounds
|
Scourge hook: gift of pain | When the trial begins, four random hooks become scourge hooks, their auras are white
|
The Artist, Carmina Mora
To say that Carmina is a corrupt artist would be an understatement. Here she is. Nevertheless, to fall prey to her is to turn into a work of art. She wasn't always like way, however; losing her mother and friends caused her to descend into darkness. She was devastated to hear her loved ones' cries as birds devoured them at a man's order, which turned Carmina into a murderer known as The Artist.Weapon:Carmina's preferred weapon these days is a palette knife, which she first used to paint her murals.Special benefits:
Perk | Effect |
Grim embrace | Each time you hook a survivor for the first time, grim embraced gets a token, when you have four, the perk activates
|
Scourge hook: pain resonance | When the trial begins, four hooks turn into scourge hooks, which you can see thanks to their white auras
|
Hex: pentimento | You can rekindle cleansed totems, which has the following effects:
|
You may call a terrible crow to inflict misery to survivors in its flight path when your gauge is full. This is the Artist's power, birds of torment. You may summon a large flock of birds and let them loose on your target, just as you would have done with your own family.Death by Daylight, the new killer
