FFVII Cloud: items, weaponry, statistics, and boundary breaches

Everything you need to know about this leading man, including his weapons, limit breakers, armour, stats, and the best materia to equip him with, is provided in our FFVII Cloud guide. Since Cloud is a reliable member of your group, you must properly prepare him or the turn-based role-playing game will devour and discard you.

That is not to argue, of course, that other party members are unimportant. Quite the contrary. For instance, it would be imprudent of you to ignore Tifa Lockhart's powers. To get the most out of that girl—she could really make Mike Tyson flee screaming—be sure to read our FFVII Tifa guide. Alternatively, in case you're interested in playing Final Fantasy X, review our FFX Lulu tutorial to get her ready for combat.

The weaponry of FFVII Cloud

I advise against ever equating Cloud's size with a sword. He has an abundance of enormous and lethal broadswords to pick from. Naturally, these weapons do a lot of physical harm.

With the exception of two swords, Cloud's weapon range is mostly without special powers. The Yoshiyuki, for instance, increases your damage output by double if an ally is destroyed or by three if two teammates are eliminated.

Weapons contain slots for materia as well. These should be taken into account while choosing your weapon since you get an edge in combat the more materia you can equip. You really won't go very far if you don't equip any of those bizarre orbs.

The statistics for FFVII Cloud

The limit of FFVII Cloud breaks

Limit breakers are lethal skills that wreak havoc on your adversary, and Cloud has an amazing toolkit of maneuvers at his disposal. Every action has the potential to unleash destruction. When it comes to using his greatest abilities, however, be ready to put in some time and patience.

Limit break name How to obtain it Effect
Braver Cloud starts with it Cloud uses a downward slash that deals three times the normal damage
Cross-slash Use braver eight times Cloud performs three slices that cause more than three times the normal damage and inflict paralysis
Blade beam Defeat 120 enemies Cloud unleashes a wave of energy at the enemy causing three and a half times normal damage, while causing minor damage to nearby foes
Climhazzard Use blade beam seven times Cloud hits the enemy before jumping upwards slicing his foe for more than four times normal damage
Metorain Defeat 200 enemies after receiving blade beam Cloud brings down six meteorites from the sky causing more than one and half times normal damage each
Finishing touch Use meteorain six times Kills any enemy it hits, except for those immune to death. Those immune take more than times normal damage
Omnislash Read the omnislash manual after receiving all of Cloud’s limit breaks Hits enemies 15 times with the automatic critical effect active

The greatest Cloud of FFVII materials

When it comes to cloud materials, there isn't really an ideal path. It's not that there aren't any helpful people; rather, you have a variety of ways to go into fight. Considering how strong and magical his numbers are, you really hold the power. While some individuals may like using magic, others would rather play sword games like whac-a-mole.

When Cloud's lightning materia—which he starts the game with—is combined with the all materia, our hero will be able to defeat every enemy he faces in one swift motion. If you want to use spells in battle, anything related to magic is a good choice for other materia.

Alternatively, you may employ materials like slash-all and double-cut if you'd rather get hands-on. In order to maintain Cloud's health, we also advise providing him with HP absorb materials.

That concludes our explanation of all there is to know about Cloud in Final Fantasy VII. If you're ready for a new adventure, then check out our selection of the best Switch RPGs.
