Inside the Vulnerability – Switch and mobile

We have a selection of the top science fiction games that may appeal to fans of mech anime, such as Neon Genesis Evangelion or Gundam. In the turn-based strategy game Into the Breach, you play as humanity's final chance in the midst of a post-apocalyptic struggle. It is up to you to get in the robot and engage the Vek, a deadly extraterrestrial race, however you may not be successful the first time.

Thankfully, attempting and attempting again is a big part of enjoying Into the Breach. More alternate mechs and pilots become available to you as you finish more runs, allowing you to strive to improve on your previous performance or take on more challenging difficulty settings. Even better, if you haven't played this game in a while, the additional material makes it worthwhile to return via the Netflix games platform after a free update in 2022.

No Man's Sky - Switch

Few sci-fi games accomplish space travel better than No Man's Sky, if that's what you're looking for. After a rather dismal first release, the development team at Hello Games has been adding mechanics to this interplanetary experience ever since they arrived more than seven years ago. These days, many consider it to be better than Bethesda's much-discussed Starfield, making it maybe one of the greatest ways to explore the glories of space. It's significantly less expensive, so I know which one I'm going with.

However, because No Man's Sky is a unique film, it would be unfair to draw too many parallels between it and Starfield. The main principles of this game are exploration and survival, which are enjoyable to experience for yourself. You may create bases on perilous worlds and go on expeditions with your friends in online multiplayer. Undoubtedly, the excitement may be diminished if you end yourself stranded in a hazardous environment with no apparent way out, but the excitement is in navigating danger like a genuine science fiction icon. Our instructions to No Man's Sky multiplayer, No Many's Sky expeditions, and No Man's Sky freighters can help you out if things do become a little complicated.

Mobile Honkai Star Rail

Honkai Star Rail blurs the boundaries between science fiction and science fantasy, but as it meets all the requirements, it will be included here. Robots? Check. Travel in space? Check. An epic story that piques your curiosity about the enigmatic world you live in? That's a huge fat tick for this one, I'll wager. Not many free-to-play games are as entertaining as this one, which is provided by the makers of Genshin Impact.

The RPG fighting tactics in this game seem a little like a return to the best of the PS2's turn-based gaming period, but with some amazing animations and intricate character designs. For those who like science fiction games, it's a must-play because of the frequent updates that make the game interesting and entertaining. Check out our Honkai Star Rail tier list if you need help getting started in this game. Then use our Honkai Star Rail codes instructions to get some freebies. Switch and mobile alien isolation

It's unfortunate that no one can hear you scream in space because you can guarantee that the horrific elements of Alien Isolation will make you yell. This horror game is not like some of the others on this list. is more about surviving and leaving the Sevastopol space station alive than it is about extensive exploration.

You take on the role of Amanda Ripley, the famous alien heroine Ellen Ripley's daughter, as she looks for answers about her mother's enigmatic disappearance from all those years ago. Although it's not the longest game on our list, it might be among the most stressful, particularly if you manage to run across a Xenomorph while trying to flee. See our Alien Isolation mobile review for additional information. Please don't hold the nightmares against us.

"Metroid Prime Remastered - Switch" Screenshot of Samus powering up her weapon in Metroid Prime Remastered for best sci-fi games guide It was difficult to decide between Metroid Dread and Metroid Prime Remastered for our list since they are both fantastic science fiction titles featuring the recognizable space traveler Samus. Nevertheless, Metroid Prime Remastered had to be the winner since we rated it a 10/10 in our review. It doesn't matter whether you played the original GameCube game or not—this is a seminal experience from the last 25 years of science fiction games, with enough action to keep you interested for the whole fifteen hours of gameplay. The bosses are deserving of their legendary position, the level design is amazing, and the weaponry are the stuff of science fiction fantasies. This game is so fantastic that Nintendo has already announced two sequels and a fourth is still in the works. After you're through, try if our Metroid Dread review will entice you to go on yet another hazardous journey. If not, continue on for more Samus.Lego Star Wars: Castaways - mobile (Apple Arcade)

The External Realms - Flip

The Outer Worlds, which abandons the wasteland for the vastness of space, is a brilliant alternative from some of the geniuses behind the original Fallout, despite the terrible fact that none of the Fallout games are available on the Switch. There will be lots of areas to explore, amazing fighting, and interesting conversation. And some naughty robots, of course. The numerous endings in The Outer Worlds, however, remain our favorite feature since they provide you with an incentive to replay the game and discover what may have been. On any given day of the week, we would much prefer play this than Starfield.Custom image for Wuthering Waves entry, showing four different characters, on best sci-fi games guide
