For the time being, Game Freak has disclosed that Pokémon Legends Z-A will launch in 2025. We're not sure yet whether it will be released around the holidays or early in the year.
While there are currently little specifics available, we do know that Legends Z-A is set in Lumiose City, in the Kalos area.
Instead of showing off any gameplay, the video presents a "urban redevelopment plan" that includes holograms of streets and cafés, architectural drawings, and a running Pikachu. The brief teaser features the Litleo evolution line, Furfrou, Flabebe, Klefki, and othergen 6 Pokémon.. We see individuals tossing objects—possibly Pokéballs—at Pokémon, as well as untamed creatures fighting one another.
The futuristic style of the video suggests that we may be in Lumoise City's future, a place similar to the historic Hisui area shown in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
We're excited about the possibility that Pokémon X and Y will continue where previous generations left off. While fans had anticipated a third game, Zygarde, the legendary Pokémon, instead made an appearance in Sun and Moon, despite the game's name obviously referring to X and Y. Given that the upcoming Pokémon game is named Z-A, another character who may emerge is AZ, who appeared in X and Y.

Given that the announcement concluded with the statement that Pokémon Legends Z-A debuts "simultaneously" globally, it is quite probable that the game will launch simultaneously on the Switch and Switch 2.
