Cemetery Attendant
cemetery Keeper is a charming game with a dark sense of humour if you like management with a hint of the macabre. You manage your own cemetery and have to make questionable choices in an effort to save a few more dollars. When you have a fresh supply of anything else, why utilise hotdog meat? Is so much blood needed for these bodies—perhaps it may be sold? In addition to being a hilarious title with a sardonic view on capitalism, it also has a fantastic little management sim. This could be the ideal game for you if Stardew is too sweet for you.
Slime Rancher: Plortable EditionA slimy difference in a sim. Locate, apprehend, and oversee an enormous collection of slimes, and then use their excrement to generate revenue. You spend just as much time exploring the landscape in Slime Rancher as you do managing your slimes and collecting money to buy new skills and gear. It's a terrific game for both exploration and management. You'll be engrossed in this game for days since there's so much to discover and unlocked, including the extremely rewarding process of amassing a massive farm to house your slime army. Nature Crossing: Uncharted Territory
With a little bit of serendipity, Nintendo's niche simulation series had a successful global debut on the Switch in March 2021 and went on to sell over 30 million copies. Take charge of your own island and make friends with the local animals in this charming little universe. The technique is expanded in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, where you may design and decorate almost every area of your island. Additionally, you may create a plethora of stuff on your island using materials and do-it-yourself recipes, making it the ideal embodiment of your own originality. Or, if you're anything like me, you can just throw half of your stuff on the floor and forget about it for eight months.A significant update and paid DLC are on the way for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The basic game will see a plethora of new choices and objects, while the DLC Happy house Paradise will let you to furnish your favourite villagers' dream vacation house and earn new furnishings in the process. Now that the most recent update has brought back beloved elements like the curious tiny Gyroids and the coffee-loving pigeon Brewster, there's never been a better moment to get started. With so much to offer—including the ability to visit friends' islands and share the fun—this game could be all you need.Spiritfarer
Spiritfarer is a "cosy management-sim about death" where you take on the role of Stella, a young girl who needs to steer a boat on the River Styx and assist restless spirits as they cross over to the hereafter. By using the game's map to explore, you may arrange your boat to be each passenger's ideal house and assist them in taking care of their business. It also has a lovely music that adds even more character to each scene, and stunning animated visuals that bring this melancholy narrative to life like a children's book.Spiritfarer somehow strikes a mix between being an excellent management game where you can upgrade your vessel and your skills and providing each and every visitor with a poignant story of grief and redemption. This is a tale about dying, so be ready to weep. However, it is also filled with so much joy and hope that you could find yourself feeling happier than sad. For even more motivation to play, see our
Spiritfarer review. After that, read our
interview with Spiritfarer's creative director to learn more about the game's influences and effect since its release.
Builders of Dragon Quest 2
Dragon Quest Builders 2 is a peculiar but fulfilling hybrid game that combines elements of a construction game, management simulation, and role-playing game into one cohesive whole. Even though it seems like a lot of different parts, they are all expertly combined to create a fantastic plot that continues where Dragon Quest 2 left off. Discover new islands and help people restore communities that were destroyed by demons in order to bring peace to the planet. In addition to offering a lot of engaging gameplay when you go back to your own island and construct the ideal tiny community for all the vagrants and vagabonds you meet along the way, this is a substantial journey with some amazing twists and turns. Fans of the Dragon Quest series will find a tonne of content here, but even those who are not familiar with the series will find this lighthearted tale and the rich, fulfilling mechanics—which, once you start playing with them, seem almost endless—to be enjoyable.Although it hasn't had the same effect as Animal Crossing, this epic journey is nevertheless worthy of discussion since, although doing things a little differently, it still makes incredible improvements to many of the fundamental features. If Dragon Quest Builders 2 piques your curiosity even a little, you should definitely give it a try since it includes a substantial ten-hour trial that saves your data in case you decide to buy the game. As someone who has played the title for over 100,000 hours, I can assure you that it is worthwhile to stick with it even if the first few hours are a drag (sorry, but I detest the part about the pirate ship).
Manager of the Cat Cafe
We would most likely be opening a modest café, providing delicious food and coffee, and helping animals in need if we weren't gaming journalists. In any case, I would. Then, while we're still curled up on the couch,
Cat Cafe Manager shows up to fulfil all of our fantasies. A cute simulation game in which you manage a café full with cats, you guessed it. We believe that they know what they're doing, but I'm not sure whether it violates the health code. I definitely don't want tabby hair in my cheese and pickle sandwich. More information about this awesome game can be found in our comprehensive
Cat Cafe Manager review.
Moonlighter
Better than a great action game, what is it? What about an action game where you own a store and can sell the loot you uncover in dungeons? With its amazing action and endearing store mechanisms, Moonlighter feels like two wonderful games combined into one. Both of the game's halves provide an abundance of activities that build upon one another as you utilise the money from selling your finds and the riches you locate to purchase more powerful weaponry. After then, returning to an even more difficult dungeon will provide even greater rewards. I defy you to try to discover a better gaming loop!
