All of the announcements from the 2023 Game Awards

Every year at this time, the The Game Awards 2023 have already passed. Fortunately, there were some strong nominations for all of you Switch and mobile players. However, they were up against fierce competition in every category. There were two Switch titles vying for the prestigious title of Game of the Year.

No one was surprised that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario: Wonder were in the running, as shown by our reviews of Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario: Wonder. Both the much awaited Breath of the Wild sequel and the first new classic side-scrolling Super Mario game since New Super Mario Bros. U in 2012 were sure to be hits, as seen by the sheer volume of nominations for both games.

Of course, there are other thrilling aspects of The Game prizes than the prizes themselves. This year's display will once again include dozens of exclusive trailers, as is customary. In 2024 and beyond, there will be a tonne of amazing games available on mobile and Nintendo Switch platforms.

Dave The Diver and Dredge collaborate

With two TGA candidates and PT favourites Dave The Diver and Dredge collaborating to search the waters for some eldrich creatures on the Switch, 2023 is undoubtedly the year of water-themed games. Best Debut Indie goes to Cocoon

With its tiny insect limbs, Geometric Interactive and Annapurna's Cocoon won the Best Debut Indie Game award, proving to the world that bugs are also deserving of love. In order to solve the secrets of the cosmos, you must bounce between universes that are housed within spheres in this puzzler.

Whispers in the Walls: Warframe

We're thrilled to see a stunning RPG for the Switch take up the Best Indie Game trophy at the Game Awards, particularly in light of the controversy surrounding some of the candidates. Sea of Stars has an amazing music, gorgeous pixel visuals, and an amazing tale to bring it all together. It has garnered excellent reviews from critics around.

Pikmin 4 wins for Best Simulation/Strategy Game

.Pikmin 4 has emerged victorious in the category of Best Simulation/Strategy Game, defeating the recently released city building game. Nintendo's slim pickings

Nintendo only won a few accolades for Super Mario: Wonder and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, despite receiving several nominations for both games.
