Who is Carlos from Resident Evil?

Having previously served as a hired gun, Carlos Oliviera was a corporal in the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service. He was the heavy weapons expert for Alpha Squad in Delta Platoon and provided rear protection for them. Carlos was one of the lucky ones who survived the Raccoon City Destruction Incident and the deployed squads.

Apart from the fact that he is most likely from South America, we don't know much about his upbringing. However, we do know that throughout the 1970s to the 1990s, paramilitary and street violence ravaged his home.

Being the fifth of seven brothers, he had a lot of conflict in his upbringing, which made him become engaged in gang violence at a very early age. He was taken prisoner by a nationalist paramilitary organisation in the vicinity of 1987, but he was subsequently rescued by a communist organisation supported by either the Soviet Union or Cuba, who accepted him into their ranks.

Carlos became a well-known guerilla commander after dedicating the most of his teenage years to learning guerrilla tactics. But by the 1990s, the political scene had changed, and Carlos was taken prisoner. Seeing promise in his abilities, Umbrella Corporation bought his release as a UBCS mercenary by bribing the authorities.

A few years later, during the Resident Evil virus breakout, Umbrella organised the UBCS in anticipation of a major operation in Raccoon City. Carlos had no idea that the epidemic was even worse than he had assumed or that Umbrella's nose wasn't as clean as he had first believed.

How would you characterise Carlos from Resident Evil?

Throughout his several in-game appearances, Carlos' demeanour has undergone a few little changes, but his essential characteristics have not changed. He gives off the impression of being a tough, arrogant, and self-assured mercenary right away, but he also demonstrates that he is a pleasant, obedient, and loyal person.

His association with UBCS may at first cause you to wonder which side he supports, but he soon demonstrates that he is a kind guy who was wholly ignorant of Umbrella's evil plots.

After learning the truth, he becomes enraged at Umbrella and shows signs of regret for using him as a pawn. He then begins to make apologies, often risking his life to rescue Jill and the Raccoon City residents.

Carlos was last seen canonically during the Raccoon City Destruction Incident. He goes to a pub near the sea and has a drink with Jill before they part ways. Following this, we are aware that he leaves the US via Mexico and relocates to South America.Beyond the suggestion that he still feels a great deal of animosity against Umbrella from the Resident Evil Archives, we don't know much about his current activities. We can only hope that he'll return in a later mainstream game. But until then, until we play Resident Evil 3 for the thousandth time, we suppose we're trapped in this harsh, cold, Carlos-less world! So that's all we currently know about Carlos from Resident Evil.
