What is known about the Nintendo Switch 2 is as follows.

Release date rumors for the Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo President Shihatra Furukawa said in May 2024 on X (Twitter) that the Nintendo Switch 2 unveiling will happen before the fiscal year 2024–2025 ends. This indicates that it will be visible by the end of March 2025. Furukawa hasn't given a firm release date, but we're assuming that this means we'll be holding a Switch 2 by the summer of next year, if not a little later.

While there was a lot of conjecture in 2024 about the Switch 2's release date in the same year, By April, new rumors about Nintendo's internal delays were starting to surface, delaying the system until 2025. These rumors seemed to be supported by Furukawa's remark, but even if an announcement is made in October or November of this year, it may not make it in time for the holidays. To put things in perspective, Nintendo first unveiled the first Nintendo Switch in October 2016 and then launched the device in March 2017. Between the console's announcement and its retail release, it equates to around six months. In light of that, we believe it's reasonable to assume Nintendo will take a similar tack this time. As Furukawa predicted, the June 2024 Nintendo Direct included no console news, although an update may still be released before the year is complete.

Probable launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2

New series entries for well-known Nintendo IPs like Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and others are often released in tandem with the introduction of new Nintendo Consoles. To lead the line for the Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo may perhaps take a chance and launch a new intellectual property, but considering the brand's past and how much it depends on its huge names, we don't believe that's possible.Up until now, every Nintendo home system has come with a Mario or Zelda game. Super Mario Bros. debuted on the NES, Super Mario World debuted on the SNES, and Super Mario 64 debuted on the N64.A bit different, the GameCube came with Luigi's Mansion first, followed by Zelda: Twilight Princess on the Wii and New Super Mario Bros. U on the Wii U. Ultimately, Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey were the Nintendo Switch's first releases. It would seem reasonable to assume that we would receive a new Zelda or Mario game, but because Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario Bros. Wonder were recently released, it could be too soon for another installment in both series.Custom image of an OLED Switch showing Pokemon Scarlet with a player and a shiny Politoed for Nintendo Switch 2 release date speculation and rumors hubWe haven't seen Pokémon heading the line like that previously, although there is a lot of conjecture regarding whether the next Pokémon Legends game will be a Switch launch title. Additionally, it's possible that
Metroid Prime 4 Considering Nintendo disclosing a 2025 release date at the Nintendo Direct in June 2024, this might be a significant launch for the early Switch 2 period.

Nintendo Switch 2 expected to cost

Although the price of the Nintendo Switch 2 is unknown, we may estimate it reasonably. Nintendo has always made its technologies fairly priced, with no intention of producing too lavish products. Thus, as a result of this, SmartRead anticipates paying between $300 and $350 for the Nintendo Switch 2. It could cost more than that, but we figure Nintendo wants to keep selling its systems for less money than the top-tier Sony and Xbox models. The rumor that it features an LCD display is the other reason for this. It is strange that Nintendo did not add an OLED screen in the most recent Switch model; this was probably done purely for financial reasons. Yes, this is speculation, but it makes sense to us.

Projections for Nintendo Switch 2 colors

We still don't know what colors the Nintendo Switch 2 will arrive in thus long in advance of its arrival. While the OLED version of the Switch debuted with white Joy-Cons, the original Switch was available with red, blue, or grey Joy-Cons. Given this, it wouldn't be shocking to see any of those choices available when the Nintendo Switch 2 launches. Though this is only conjecture, there's no reason Nintendo couldn't attempt something else. We're not sure what to anticipate since none of the Switch 2 leaks or rumors that we've seen so far have anything to do with the console's color. We will promptly update this page with any new information that comes to light or if we hear any rumors.

Speculation regarding the Nintendo Switch 2's battery life

We still don't know what to anticipate in terms of battery life from the Switch 2, despite a ton of specifications speculations. It wouldn't be shocking to see some improvements over the original, but it's important to remember that stronger technology may need more power, so we can't depend on the Nintendo Switch sequel to have an endless battery life. Some unverified reports have surfaced, with tipsters speculating about battery lives ranging from 3–6 hours to 9–12 hours, however these sources are dubious at best. While the latter is what we want to achieve, it may need some speed or graphical tradeoffs.
