The Professor Layton Series: Mobile and Switch Edition
Most likely, if you've ever had a Nintendo DS, you're familiar with Professor Layton. This whimsical puzzle mystery series centers on the eponymous Professor Layton and his apprentice Luke as they work together to solve bizarre mysteries in a steampunk-inspired version of 1960s England.
In the most current book, Layton's Mystery Journey, we follow Katrielle, Professor Layton's adopted daughter, as she continues his legacy while he is away. The original Nintendo DS trilogy may be downloaded in high definition via Google Play and the App Store. This game was published on mobile devices, the 3DS, and the Switch. While you wait for the Professor Layton and The New World of Steam release date on the Switch, there are a ton of riddles to complete.
Danganronpa: Switch and mobile - Trigger Happy Havoc
Danganronpa is renowned for both its dark and twisted narrative and its vibrant, distinctive look. A bear robot called Monokuma kidnaps sixteen brilliant high school kids who are all regarded as the "Ultimate" in their respective fields and forces them to participate in a deadly game. There are two stages to the gameplay: an inquiry phase in the vein of a visual novel and a class trial phase. Switch and smartphone versions of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy
OBJECTION Capcom's iconic visual novel series Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is set in the dramatic realm of the courtroom. Even while the gameplay isn't exactly like a detective game, you still need to go through the available evidence and question witnesses in cross-examination in order to determine the truth and find your client not guilty. During the Nintendo Direct June 2024 event, we also received a sneak peek at the upcoming Ace Attorney console release, which includes a game that was previously only available in Japan.
Life Is Odd: Switch and Smartphone
Once again, Life is Strange isn't really a detective game, but with all of Max Caulfield's probing, you should theoretically be able to get a badge and a pistol if you play as her. In addition to dealing with her increasing time travel abilities, Max returns back to her native town to attend a prominent high school, reunites with her long-lost best friend, and becomes involved in a missing person's event.
