What is flower breeding at Fae Farm?

Fae Farm's flower breeding programme enables you to complete your almanack with any hue and breed combination possible, beginning with the six distinct colour and breed combinations that are offered for sale.

Plants: rose, lily, tulip, hyacinth, zinnia, and trillium are the six breeds that are offered. These come in twelve distinct colour varieties, which is where our breeding guide comes in! The following are the 12 colours:

  • Red
  • Yellow
  • White
  • Orange
  • Pink
  • Ivory
  • Green
  • Blue
  • Magenta
  • Black
  • Teal
  • Violet

Where can I get flower seeds from Fae Farm?

Flower seeds are sold by two vendors: one in the Fae Realm and one in the main town. Asphodel in the Fae Realm offers blue hyacinth, green zinnia, and magenta trillium seeds; Rosalind sells red rose, white lily, and yellow tulip seeds in the town centre.

Once you have seeds, all you have to do is plant them in your farm's creative flower beds, give them a daily watering, and watch them flourish.

How can I cultivate hybrid flowers from Fae Farm?

With the aid of our hybrid flower list, you may have a garden that is abundant with every colour and kind of flower. A triangular or zigzag design works best for seeding hybrids because it gives ample of room for young seedlings to sprout between the two parent blooms.

If you utilise two different breeds of flowers, the newly created seeds may be the breed of either of the "parent" flowers. For example, if you position a red rose and a yellow tulip next to each other, you can obtain either an orange rose or an orange tulip.

Each plant contains two genes, which appear as seed symbols when the plant is in close proximity to the viewer. Given that it comes from a red rose seed, a red rose with two red genes would pass on one red gene to all plants it mates with. A pink flower planted in between red and white flowers that are planted close to each other will have one gene for each colour. Any offspring the plant produces will have the pink gene, and so on.

Here's how to breed flowers that have non-purchasable colours:

Desired color Parent color one Parent color two
Orange Red Yellow
Pink Red White
Ivory White Yellow
Black Magenta Green
Teal Blue Green
Violet Magenta Blue

It goes without saying that placing two blooms of the same colour adjacent to one another will cause new plants to sprout up nearby in the same colour.

You must add the desired breed next to that colour if you want various breeds with the same basic colours. A crimson tulip would be one example. Only yellow tulips and red roses are available for purchase, therefore if you plant a yellow tulip next to a red rose, a red tulip could also show up with orange roses and tulips.

What is the purpose of flowers in Fae Farm?

Flowers may be harvested and exchanged for goods at various merchants, so they're not simply there to look lovely. You'll need various colours of flowers, which are often not the standard colours you may get from merchants, if you wish to purchase new wings, colour palettes, or other seasonal products.
