Three-year Snapdragon Pro Series expected to boost mobile esports even more

Today, Qualcomm, the company that created the top Android gaming chipset, revealed the Snapdragon Pro Series Year 3 roadmap. The IT giant and top esports and video game entertainment corporate organisation ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) collaborated to create this multi-title mobile esports league.

Qualcomm has big intentions for the third orbit around the sun of the Snapdragon Pro Series after two prosperous years of competition. With esports viewership rising over 200% annually, the competition has seen exponential growth, and the prize pool has expanded to an incredible $4.4 million during seasons five and six.

More viewers translate into more fascinating collaborations that both players and fans may enjoy. We previously spoke about Supercell's ESL FaceIt Group collaboration earlier this year, which brought Clash of Clans and Brawl Stars to the Snapdragon Pro Series lineup, launching Year 3 with a bang. The world's largest MLBB Open competition schedule, along with an online competition for the top female players in Southeast Asia that offers them a chance to advance to the Women's Invitational at the Esports World Cup this summer, have been revealed by Qualcomm in conjunction with MLBB developer Moonton Games.

Due to ongoing partnerships with Garena and Activision Publishing, two of the top mobile shooters available, Free Fire and Call of Duty: Mobile, will be back on the Snapdragon Pro Series for a fiercely competitive year. "The level of investment we're seeing from publishers and the exponential growth of the Snapdragon Pro Series underscores why mobile is the future of esports," says Sam Braithwaite, vice president of game ecosystems, mobile at EFG.
