What is Fontaine from Genshin Impact?

Teyvat's Seven Nations includes Fontaine. The God of Justice, or hydro archon, is revered by the inhabitants of Fontaine. The God of Justice "lives for the spectacle of the courtroom," according to Genshin Impact's Dainsleif, and Genshin Impact's Yanfei characterizes the judicial system in Fontaine as being infamously convoluted.

Fontaine takes great pleasure in being the center of the arts and culture. Fontaine is known for its progressive thought and innovation in the arts, as seen by the origins of both rock 'n' roll music and the Kamera. Francis, a Fontaine-based traveling trader, calls it a "place of true beauty and elegance." Additionally, it is the home of The Steambird newspaper, where Mona of Genshin Impact writes columns and Charlotte of Genshin Impact is a reporter.

One fascinating feature of Fontaine is that it is the birthplace of all oceanids, including Rhodeia of Loch, which lives in the waters near Qingce Village. From Fontaine, the Spring Fairy of Springvale is also a Lochfolk. According to legend, the Lochfolk fled Fontaine because of the new hydro Archon's ideas.

Traveler taking a dip in Genshin Impact Fontaine's lake

The under-city sewage system is in stark contrast to the lofty, contemporary white structures that characterize the main metropolis. There are robots roaming about, ladies wearing long, elegant gowns, and dogs sporting top hats. Regarding the area beyond the city, there are several canals that connect mountains and bodies of water via aquabus transportation.

It's time to prepare your diving equipment since Fontaine offers underwater adventure. Just swim, dive, and float across the water without worrying about drowning. Numerous animals, teleport locations, and kingdoms to prove your mettle in may be found under the waters.

In Genshin Impact, how can I go to Fontaine?

It's not too difficult to get to Fontaine. In Sumeru's desert, a new teleport waypoint appears automatically in the upper right corner. You may sail to Fontaine's port by heading to a Waverider station and calling it. You may take an aquabus directly to the main city from here.

Two characters from Genshin Impact Fontaine region with pneuma and ousia visions

In Fontaine, what are ousia and pneuma power?

Fontaine introduces the arkhe system of pneuma and ousia power, a new kind of power. You may have noticed that some of the overworld's puzzles and adversaries have a purple or gold tint to them. This denotes their alignment with either Pneuma or Ossia forces; Pneuma is gold, while Ossia is purple.

Pneuma users have more pointed designs, whereas those associated with ousia power have softer edges to their Fontaine ideas. The rounded ousia visions have been seen in Lynette, Neuvillette, Clorinde, Wriothesley, and Navia, while the pneuma option is present in Charlotte, Lyney, and Freminet.

Since it only impacts confrontations against Fontaine foes allied to a single power, this has no effect on their total fighting ability. The collision of pneuma and ousia powers results in an annihilation reaction. In actuality, this means that any character with the purple ousia power does more damage to gold adversaries, while any character with the pneuma power deals extra damage to enemies with the ousia power.

The Traveler and Fontaine characters are the only ones covered by the arkhe system. In essence, it gives the character an additional ousia and pneuma-type attack in addition to their regular assaults. It does need recharging, and when it is ready again, the visions shine.

Which characters from Genshin Impact Fontaine are they?

All of the Fontaine characters and their actions are summarized in this section.

  • Lyney and Lynetteavailable now, are a magician and assistant duo. Lyney is a five-star pyro bow user and Lynette is a four-star anemo sword user.
  • Freminet is Lyney and Lynette’s younger brother who is an accomplished diver. He uses cryo and a claymore.
  • The dark and handsome Wriothesley is Genshin’s first-ever cryo catalyst user, debuting in the 4.1 update alongside…
  • Chief Justice Neuvillette. He’s an incredibly strong hydro user, and another five-star husbando. You may recognize the name – he’s quoted in Nahida’s detailed Hoyolab post prior to her release.
  • Furina, the hydro archon of Fontaine. Genshin Impact Focalors (Furina’s archon name) uses the hydro element and a sword, but her real talent lies in the three ocean critters she unleashes that attack everything in sight.
  • Charlotte, who we met in the 3.7 update’s TCG event, is our second cryo catalyst user, who uses her camera during her animations and can provide some team healing.
  • Navia is an incredibly strong geo unit, using a claymore, with a gunbrella. She can pack a real punch and gets extra damage from the crystallize reaction.
  • Chevreuse is an overcharged-support, adding significant buffs to both electro and pyro teammates. She uses a gun during her moves, like Navia, and is fun to play.
  • Sigewinne is the head nurse of the Fortress of Meropide, and in-game is a healer using the hydro element.
  • Clorinde, referred to as Captain R in a lot of leaks, is a five-star electro unit that uses a sword, and is a very capable DPS in a reaction-based team.
  • The Harbinger Arlecchino, though not from Fontaine, appears in the video and its storyline.

That concludes our tutorial to Genshin Impact Fontaine. We like touring the city and its verdant surroundings, personally. Check out our list of the top games similar to Genshin Impact to discover something new to play when you need a break from exploring Teyvat.
