We can't wait for Apico's incredible 4.0 release on Switch.
For those of us who want to be bee keepers, TNGineers and Whitethorn Games have one more surprise in store: the 3.0 and 4.0 patches will be available as a final free update for Apico for the Nintendo Switch in May.
On May 20, 2024, the developer will make both patches 3.0 - What Lies Beneath and 4.0 - A Hive of Industry available for free on the Nintendo Switch and PC. This is the ideal moment to begin your new beekeeping endeavor, since Apico is one of our favorite indie games (indie games), and we heartily suggest it.
A nautical upgrade, What Lies Beneath has ocean exploration and underwater bees (don't get too worked up over the realistic aspect of this). Additionally, there is fishing as a good game would not be complete without a fishing minigame.
Update 4.0, A Hive of Industry, transforms your workstation with several machinery, automation systems, and pets. Ploppers, shippers, workbenches, and other new machinery may help you expedite your production zone and export those goods with a honey taste.
The pets are the most significant factor. A total of sixteen different species, such as crabs, frogs, and a little dinosaur, may accompany you on your travels around your apiary. Hopefully, they won't consider the bees to be snack food. And as if that weren't enough, the game will soon be experiencing bee-sonal / seasonal events like Hallowbeen and Hivemas, which will have seasonal NPC interactions and decorations.
Along with the improvements, a brand-new soundtrack by musician Mothense will be available on Bandcamp on May 7 and on other streaming services shortly after.
While we know you're giddy with anticipation about Apico's improvements, consider checking out our list of the top multiplayer games available on Switch if you're searching for something to play with your colony. Alternately, take care of a distinct kind of animals in a farm game.
