Switch to South Park: The Broken but Whole
Given that viewers have been enjoying the South Park series for decades, this one has a bit of an advantage. However, South Park: The Fractured but Whole looks exactly like the South Park animated series, in contrast to many tie-in games that just aim to seem like a pixelated version of the actual product.
Unlike many RPGs, TFBW condenses a lot of fantastic principles into a manageable 10-15 hour game. It is painstakingly reconstructed to appear precisely like the show, but it also has fantastic RPG elements for players to learn. In all honesty, this is so similar to the real program that it's almost impossible to tell the difference—it still uses the exact same voice cast and authors.
Explore this well-loved universe and laugh with Cartman and the gang while using some hilarious superhero elements as a background. Alternatively, play one of the many equally hilarious South Park games available, such as the new South Park game Snow Day.
Switch version of Paper Mario: The Origami King
I want to be extremely clear about my dislike for Paper Mario: The Origami King's mechanics. The Nintendo Switch Online N64 games Paper Mario, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Super Paper Mario, and even the original Paper Mario all have fantastic gameplay in a variety of ways. However, Paper Mario: The Origami King employs a painful puzzle-ring system that I would gladly wear a spiked shoe to boot into the sun.
Now, allow me to explain. For all the other things in the game, Paper Mario: The Origami King is an incredible game that is well worth playing. In addition to some really moving scenes, this Nintendo game has some of the funniest writing you'll ever come across. The ring-puzzle gameplay isn't the only aspect of the game; it also has an amazing visual style and vibrant colors that make it appear completely crazy.
Upon reflection, this game brings back memories of my laughter, the expressiveness of Mario and his buddies, and the sheer joy I had from the enormous paper-mache fights that overshadow the ring-puzzle bouts. Children that are a little more patient will like it, and this world is one that should be discovered.
Horace: Mobile and Switch
If you have a great sense of humor and may be familiar with British culture, you should definitely check out Horace, a beautiful independent platformer. Not only has it received excellent reviews for its outstanding puzzle-platforming but also for having an abundance of material that keeps getting better and better throughout the course of the game.
Thanks to excellent storytelling, Horace is a touching and hilarious tale about a robot that is only attempting to reunite a family. You will laugh and weep in the same situations. An actual gem.
Dadliest Catch: Octodad - Switch and mobile
On the goofier side of things somewhat, in Octodad: Dadliest Catch, you take control of an octopus that is posing as a father. The result is mayhem. The controls are intentionally cryptic, which makes it hard to untangle your tentacles and perform daily duties like giving your wife a kiss or taking care of your children.
It's all so ludicrous that it works, and it can make for a terrific sit-and-watch game with your friends. It's also an excellent multiplayer Switch game! Why not take a Joy-Con apiece and make things much more difficult?
Switch version of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
The Games for Lego have been really enjoyable for a long now, and even if it seems like every Star Wars game has been done before, developer Traveller's Tales went all out with this enormous compilation that includes every core Star Wars movie in one crazy bundle.
The humor in this piece stems from the way it twists everyday situations into the absurd, using the Lego framework and some extremely clever scripting to maintain the humor throughout every frame. The Creative Retreat: Switch and mobile
The Artful Escape is an interstellar story about bringing love and music throughout the universe that begins small but swiftly grows to a global scale. The Artful Escape, which centers on a young folk musician who is desperate to reinvent himself and ends up being kidnapped by a space-based rock legend, finds humor in its bizarre storyline, outrageous character designs, and an incredible voice cast that includes Carl Weathers, Lena Headey, Jason Schwartzman, and many more.The music of The Artful Escape is almost worth watching in and of itself, but this interplanetary adventure also does a fantastic job of capturing human moments. What's up with the golf? – Mobile and Switch
This is the one to choose if you prefer physical humor. What the Golf? continuously bends the meaning of a golf game by including ever-more-ridiculous components while hardly adhering to the original regulations. On almost every level, you'll strike something into a hole, but the object you hit and the weapon you use to do it will vary.Toss sofas, toss hotdogs into holes, and even toss the hole itself. What the Golf? is an incredibly creative game that makes me giggle nonstop. It's available for the Switch in a few absurd multiplayer modes so you can enjoy the laughter and fun with pals.
Goose Game, Untitled - Switch and Mobile
What else is there to say? With its hilarious gameplay that revolves on the escapades of a single, cheeky goose in a charming English town, Untitled Goose Game became an instant hit.See every square inch of the hamlet and cross off goals such as "trap the shopkeeper in the garage," "make the groundskeeper hammer his thumb," and, my personal favorite, "steal a pint glass and drop it in the canal." There's never been a better feeling than unleashing mayhem, and a game that features a button just for honking becomes an immediate classic.
