Trailers and rumors about the release date of Metroid Prime 4

At last, a Metroid Prime 4 release date window is available. Nintendo knew that the game would be difficult to release. Metroid Prime 4 was supposed to pick up the tale on the Nintendo Switch 10 years after Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was first announced in early 2017. Even though Nintendo had only shown the game's logo so far, there was a lot of anticipation for this new title, which included a whole new development team under the direction of Bandai Namco's Singapore and Japan offices.

Two years after it was announced that Metroid Prime 4's development had resumed, Shinya Takahashi, general manager of Nintendo's EPD, acknowledged the work had resumed. Takahashi said that the original trilogy's developer, Retro Studios, will be coming back to work on the follow-up.

Estimates for Metroid Prime 4's release date

Retro Studios lacked the resources necessary to produce a game as expansive as Metroid Prime 4, even if production on the project was revived in 2019. Many AAA developers, including former members of Naughty Dog and Santa Monica Studio veterans, have been employed by Retro Studios in recent years.

It seems like Metroid Prime 4's time has finally arrived since we were able to view the game again at the June 2024 Nintendo Direct. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is the official title of the game, which is currently scheduled for release in 2025.
