These are the finest games similar to It Takes Two that we think are available on Switch.Cuphead
Cuphead is a beloved side-scrolling run-and-gun game that was inspired by early 1930s cartoons. It has gorgeous hand-drawn graphics, endearing characters, and some really scary (but well planned) bosses for you to face.
Every small treasure in this little package has obviously been meticulously designed, and the couch co-op lets you embark on an epic trip. Explore amazing new worlds with a friend as you discover a ton of mysteries, pick up new skills, and acquire new weapons all in the service of paying back your debts to the devil.
Super Turbo Championship Edition
Guacamelee!Guacamelee, another 2D side scroller! Although Super Turbo Championship Edition lacks the poignant narrative of It Takes Two, it still has a ton of cooperative platforming fun and nonstop battle action. With a lively Metroidvania-style, this game is filled with magnificent artwork, unique characters, a long move list, and a fascinating environment influenced by traditional culture and mythology.
Experience a crazy journey in four-player local cooperative play, alternating between the living and the dead as you discover a varied environment with thriving cities, eerie woods, and rumbling volcanoes in addition to a ton of terrifying enemies to battle.
Uncover Two
In the immersive world of Unravel Two, you may weave your own yarn, discover the mysteries of a brand-new adventure, and share an entangled destiny with your cooperative partner. Together, you'll need to face formidable obstacles and take in breathtaking scenery. In this lovely game, you play as two cute animals made of wool called Yarnies.
As you solve problems and interact with the complex environment, the relationship that ties you together by the tail inspires you to rise to any challenge and collaborate fearlessly. Breaking links with the past makes room for new, unbreakable friendships to grow, and this one will undoubtedly support you on your journey.
On a list like this, it's impossible to overlook the guy with the fist (Rayman Legends Definitive Edition
)! We'd be shocked if you weren't aware of this quirky-looking little guy by now, since he's been around since 1995.In addition to launching him into a brand-new, colorful universe on the Switch, Rayman Legends Definitive Edition also provides fantastic couch co-op for up to four people. It's time to run, leap, and smash your way through a variety of fantastic realms, all set to the sound of some boppin' tunes. Gather your friends and plunge into the closest painting.
Siblings: A Story of Two Sons
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is an epic fairytale adventure from renowned film director Josef Fares. You will guide Naiee and Naia through a variety of breathtaking places as you explore, solve puzzles, and battle terrifying enemies.
You may play the Switch version alone and control both brothers at the same time, or you can join forces with a buddy to share in the fun. This intricate, gorgeous game really tugs at your emotions as it takes you on an emotional story journey.
KeyWe
Even though it's a bit lighter than some of the other entries, I had to include it on the list. In the "cute and chaotic co-op postal game" KeyWe, you play as two adorable tiny kiwi birds named Jeff and Deborah, who were newly engaged by the Bungalow Basin Telepost Office to handle mail delivery. But hold on, they have no hands!
Together, you must peck, flap, leap, and smash your booties over a highly interactive environment in an effort to keep the Telepost Office running like the well-oiled mail processing machine it is meant to be. How delightful.
pedigree
In the endearing cooperative action-adventure game Biped, you take control of Aku and Sila, two little bipedal robots. Biped urges you to go on a joyful, bonding trip and places a significant emphasis on collaborative effort between two players, even though it does contain a single-player option.
Investigate a range of stunning and enigmatic settings while learning secrets, interacting to solve puzzles and get past barriers, and even getting yourself silly tiny hats. This magnificent adventure has a lot to admire about it!
Hogs!
Have you ever wondered what DogDog might be like after seeing the Nickelodeon cartoon CatDog? Phogs is here to provide you with an answer to that, along with a ton of other queries. In cooperative mode, you and your pal take turns controlling one of the two yipping heads on a long, elastic body that makes you play as an oddly charming puppy snake.
In this charming, hilarious journey, snuffle and snoot your way through a variety of puzzles in a vibrant, colorful world full of goodies, toys, and odd, squishy pals.
A Timely Hat
I can't even begin to count the number of hours I've spent playing A Hat in Time alone and with my partner. It's a fantastic co-op adventure game and a lovely platforming experience that perfectly captures the spirit of the good old days. Explore space as Hat Kid, a little child with a massive top hat, and find clocks strewn over a strange new planet to repair your spacecraft.
The second player assumes the role of Bow Kid, Hat Kid's equally endearing travel buddy. I often go back to this lively, colorful, and entertaining game anytime I need to lift my spirits. To be honest, the DLC is well worth the price. Seal the Deal and Nyakuza Metro both add additional, interesting regions to the game that are equally as entertaining as the original.
Ultimate Collection by Trine
Trine is a fantastical adventure centered on a cast of improbable characters, each with unique abilities and ways of playing. Discover a magnificent and ethereal 2.5D environment filled with platforming, physics-based puzzles, hazardous terrain, and an abundance of opponents as you learn to use the special abilities bestowed upon you.
Using Amadeus the Wizard to build platforms for your friends to climb, Pontius the Knight to destroy obstacles so your teammates may pass, or Zoya the Thief to shoot foes from a distance while your comrades create a diversion, playing in co-op only enhances the experience. It's straightforward and uncomplicated to enter, and it's really full of enchanted wonder that will make anyone's eyes glitter.
