There will soon be another Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra camera repair.
A new Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra camera fix seems to be included in a future update in response to allegations of more problems with the flagship device's camera configuration. After two earlier upgrades that partially resolved the S24 Ultra camera difficulties, the Korean tech firm may be hoping that a third time really is lucky.
Through a "camera firmware update," Samsung intends to address problems with the S24 Ultra camera, according to X tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), via Tech Radar. It seems that Samsung needs to fix issues with telephoto picture quality, poor white balance, and an odd red hue that sometimes appears in photos. The S24 Ultra would not be at the top of our list of the best Samsung phones if these weren't arguably very visible flaws for everyone, but given the device's high price, we're not surprised the firm wants to address any concerns as soon as possible.
As we previously said, since the company released the phone in January, there have been other S24 Ultra camera fixes. The first update was released in February and addressed a number of problems, such as shutter speed and video quality concerns. The second update was released in March and aimed to further improve and stabilize the camera. But, Samsung's effort to address the persistent problems with white balance in that second update obviously didn't work out as planned, as the firm seems to be playing about with white balance once again in this next third patch.
The main disclaimer with this news is that we don't know when the 24 Ultra camera patch will be released. It could take at least a month until the third update is released, given that the second one was just released a few weeks ago. Fortunately, the camera problems aren't severe enough to force buyers to return their phones, so future sales shouldn't be impacted. In any case, we'll soon find out whether the S24 Ultra's camera improves upon what we discovered in our 9/10 review with this third update.
