Is it really a year now that we don't get a Nintendo Direct? To celebrate the start of 2022 and to offer us even more amazing gaming deliciousness to look forward to, let's pop some bubbly and give this bad boy a name.
We've been really fortunate to see the latest Nintendo Direct, as the company chose to start the year strong and make a number of significant announcements, including the resuscitation of several cherished properties. There will be new sports games soon, great RPGs returning, some cherished Wii classics making a comeback, and some neglected platformers receiving some attention! What are the highlights of Nintendo Direct February 2022 ?
The fact that 2022 currently seems to be completely packed with fantastic releases and some nice lesser games to fill the void in between is fantastic news for gamers, but horrible news for wallets. Along with more details on Triangle Strategy, Square Enix also revealed plans for a new HD-2D remake, a brand-new entry for Fire Emblem, and a port that would take the Nintendo Switch into space—something we never would have imagined.

Warriors of Fire Emblem: Three Hopes - June 24
Fans of Fire Emblem and Musou should rejoice since a new Fire Emblem Warriors game has been released, which is a direct sequel to Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Fight to bring order back to the realm as one of the leaders of the three major houses, Byleth, and several other characters in the world. We also don't have to wait too long since this is set for a summer release.

(Advance Wars 1+2: April 8 Re-Boot Camp
Finally, WayForward provided us with another update on the impending tactical remake. Including new features like rewinding turns, fast-forwarding games, fully spoken commanders, and more modes! In the battle room, compete for the highest score; in the design room, create and share unique maps; and both local and internet multiplayer are enabled. Prior to the release date of April 8, pre-orders are currently being accepted.

No Man's Sky - 2022 summer
Color us shocked; we didn't think No Man's Sky would ever come to the Nintendo Switch, but it turns out that both the procedurally created cosmos and a port are on the road. It remains to be seen how well this version holds up, but if the gameplay loop is translated well, this may be yet another compelling reason to play this space exploration simulation.
Battle League Football: Mario Strikers – June 10th
For even more football pleasure, Mario is back. You have to become proficient with tackles, objects, and devastating special shots, which makes it appear harder than before. The primary objective is to dominate the field, and equipment that modifies your look, strength, speed, and even the precision of your passes and shots might be helpful. March 25, Kirby and the Forgotten Land
Experience the newest 3D platforming adventure with Kirby as he follows the pink puffball into the unknown. All of this occurs in an enigmatic realm where nature and society have strangely blended together as Kirby goes out to save his buddies, the Waddle Dees. March 4th Triangle Strategy
Triangle Strategy, the newest HD-2D game from Square Enix, which features strategic battle and tells the tale of three countries at conflict for resources and political dominance, has released one more video before of its official release.

Chronicles of Xenoblade 3 - September 2022
As they say, save the best for last. With the official presentation of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, this Nintendo Direct really went out on a high note. The trailer for the newest JRPG in the series appears to link the worlds of the previous entries together. It features a blade that resembles the Monado, drivers and blades being used, a race resembling a cat similar to Nia from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and enormous, colossal megastructures resembling the original's.There isn't much information available, but it seems to be another intriguing book in the series. If it can fill in the gaps between books, the plot has a lot of promise.
