While there were no Square Enix games at the Summer Game Fest 2022's opening night, news of the Final Fantasy VII 25th anniversary broadcast is actually very welcome. That being said, Geoff Keighley's two-hour showcase did contain a number of announcements.
We're not quite sure what to anticipate from the FFVII 25th anniversary celebration broadcast, but our editor hopes for a Crisis Core remake or remaster, which would probably be warmly received by many.
