Team Mario + Rabbids expanded greatly for the next Switch game.

Mario + Rabbids is a great game that fits a great niche in the market; the first game was an unexpected masterpiece in strategy. However,Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, the Nintendo Switch sequel, is expected to increase the standard with an even larger development team to help with the effort.

The renowned Mario + Rabbids director Davide Soliani, who pre-orders his own team's games, stated in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz (via GoNintendo) that the Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope development team is almost four times larger than the team that worked on Kingdom Battle. The whole quotation is shown below.

"Compared to the team we had with Kingdom Battle, the Sparks of Hope team is about four times larger. This implies that you will have a great deal of management and restructuring to do. Our current situation of being spread over several studios necessitates more communication and collaboration.

Additionally, onboarding takes a lot of time when a team is expanded by three or four times. In an effort to bring everyone together, we want to share our culture, our love, and our enthusiasm for what we do. However, I believe that we have all been fortunate, since I like working with everyone of them. And because of all the other cultures, it's quite enlightening.
