Some of the most recognizable creatures in the horror genre are those from Resident Evil. Who are the best? Sure, some are scarier than others, and others are the last creatures you want to encounter in a pitch-black alley. We can't wait to provide you with a few of the most hideous and macabre candidates.
Before delving into the terrifying contents of this guide, you may find it helpful to peruse our Resident Evil Claire, To find out more about people who have to deal with them, read the Resident Evil Chris, Resident Evil Jill, and Resident Evil Leon manuals. The top creatures in Resident Evil are as follows:
The Evil Licker Resident
One of the most hideous Resident Evil creatures available is the Resident Evil Licker, which first appeared in the series in Resident Evil 2 (which is often regarded as one of the finest Resident Evil games). Although their tongue is very long—which gives them their name—that may be the least terrifying feature of their body. With their razor-sharp claws, savage fangs, and lightning-fast reflexes, lickers seem to have been either flayed or turned inside out, making Usain Bolt envious. It is just impossible to debate the greatest Resident Evil creature without bringing up the Lickers.
Tyrant Resident Evil
Evil Tyrants in Residence revisit the scene from the 1996 first Resident Evil game when Jill and Chris had to destroy one of the laboratories tucked away in the Spencer estate. They are Umbrella's first officially acknowledged bioweapon. They serve as somewhat of a flagship product for the pharmaceutical corporation, which lacks moral integrity. Then, as if they didn't already have a formidable heritage, you had to include Mr. X from Resident Evil 2. Mr. X, the most well-known Tyrant, pursues Claire and Leon as they attempt to escape the RCPD, which is a literal hell hole. As soon as Claire exits the station, she's done with this stalker, at least for her; Leon, not so much. He goes into the sewers and beyond with the rookie police officer. After all these years, he still haunts us, a massive bulk of a horrible entity.
Nemesis the Resident Evil
Nemesis from Resident Evil need no introduction. Just ask Jill and Carlos from Resident Evil 3 (Second). This bioweapon is one of the most terrifying creatures in the whole Resident Evil franchise. Many longtime Resident Evil fans retain a particular place in their hearts for him as the bioweapon that wrecks havoc on Raccoon City while pursuing Jill in Resident Evil 3, especially since the 2020 remake gave him a very terrifying makeover. We try not to think about it, but he even makes an appearance in the Resident Evil films, which really do not do this creature credit.Despite not being the primary antagonist in any later Resident Evil games, he leaves a significant impact. His inclusion in the Dead by Daylight crossover demonstrates his significance to the survival horror genre's history. You're going to have a difficult time surviving the night against one of the most deadly
Dead by Daylight killers, so be cautious.
Domestic Evil canines
Dogs. Are they not adorable? False! They're obnoxious, ugly, unholy, and the misery of my life in the world of Resident Evil. They all have somewhat diverse looks throughout the series, but they are all essentially the same. Being a part of the first zombie lineup in 1996, the
Resident Evil dogs aren't particularly difficult to deal with, but they are so legendary and nearly associated with the survival horror genre. The worst thing that often occurs while dealing with these mutts is that you end up using an excessive number of shots. While you may be able to escape your issues sometimes, it's usually preferable to put them down if you have more ammunition. They may quickly overwhelm you or divert your attention long enough for a more formidable foe to put an end to your struggle for existence.
Eveline the Resident Evil
Children are among the scariest horror clichés, and Eveline from
Resident Evil is a prime example. The primary enemy of Resident Evil 7, this youngster is a bioweapon, and her transgressions have a long-lasting effect on
Ethan and his family. Eveline gets away from her captor and the spacecraft carrying her crashes on the edge of a Louisiana swamp. Eveline uses her mold to take control of her and Mia when they are taken in by the Baker family. She needs to be on this list only for being a young child who terrorizes a low-income family by using manipulation and control. The extent of her influence may be shown in Resident Evil Village; yet, things are not always as they appear with the patriarch of the Winters family.
The Evil Lady of Residence Dimitrescu
Step on me, mom. Come on, all of you believed that the first time Lady Dimitrescu from
Resident Evil came into your life. She is the most current Resident Evil creature to appear on this list, having grown up in Resident Evil Village. Although you may not immediately think of Alcina Dimitrescu as a monster, you won't want to call her mother or have her step on you once you murder her children, take her valuables, go to her castle's forbidden tower, and stab her. She's included on this list because, among the four lords living in Resident Evil Village, she's perhaps the most interesting. She is surrounded by so much mystery and legend in addition to that; it's surprising that she doesn't get her own DLC. While the
Resident Evil Village DLC provides a satisfying ending to the Winters family's tale, Alcina still has a lot more to offer. Well, at least the Shadow of Rose expansion allows us to revisit her palace.Alcina does, however, exhibit compassion, unlike any other person on this list; nonetheless, this is limited to her three kids, Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela. She becomes extra angrier when you hurt her children. Even though she's still as wicked as they come, her devotion for her kids is sincere.
Dwelling Evil Investigators
There are three different shapes that Resident Evil hunters may take, and they all look really horrifying. Naturally, this kind of monster is very lethal, and I have a particular place in my heart for the
Resident Evil Hunter as it was one of the first in the series. Since they aren't in the same league as Lickers, Tyrants, Nemesis, Lady D, or Wesker, the only reason they are on this list is nostalgia. Though they're just as annoying as the dogs, we all recall having to deal with them in the sewers during Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3.
Albert Wesker, the Resident Evil
Albert Wesker from Resident Evil isn't a monster, huh? Yes, but, my dear reader, he is. He's always been a monster, even if it takes a few games for us to realize it. Maybe that's why he's one of my favorite characters on this list; he transforms from a monster in the first game and later on into a physical one by his deeds. He is the perfect example of a malevolent person before he transforms into a bioweapon.Furthermore, the fact that a large number of fans worldwide are excited for him to return to the videogame franchise (maybe with a
Resident Evil 5 remake) lends credence to his amazing legacy. To be honest, Resident Evil wouldn't exist as it does now without Wesker. Now that you are aware of them, you can judge which of our candidates is the finest Resident Evil creature. Check out our lists of the top
