You won't find this boss here (for more on Hornet, see our guide to the Hollow Knight Silksong release date). We have already covered one boss with our Hollow Knight Hornet guide.

Here is our guide to every Hollow Knight boss, without further ado.

Forgotten Crossroads: False Knight

A maggot turned insane by infection that has taken armor. The difficulty of the game may be estimated by facing the False Knight, who is probably going to be your first boss. False Knight often leaps into the air, although you can usually dodge this by moving aside or sprinting under him. When he draws back his mace, be careful—the resulting strike will send you hurtling through the air.

Lastly, the False Knight unleashes a furious strike in which they crush the mace on both sides of them, bringing obstacles with them. However, after a certain number of hits, their skull protrudes from their armor, making them susceptible. If you take advantage of this weakness and launch as many assaults as you can, you ought to be able to win this battle really swiftly.

Mother of the Forgotten Crossroads

Gruz Mother is one of the simpler bosses; all you need to do is be patient. You should be able to launch a couple strikes as soon as you enter the room and before she even takes off. Simply keep an eye on her flight path and steer clear of her forceful strike. When she's floating in the air, you should be able to land a couple upswing strikes, but try not to walk into her to avoid suffering damage.

Because she will immediately attack you if you attempt to recover throughout this battle, it is just not worth it. Now that you have slain Gruz Mother, you need quickly recover yourself to avoid being hit by her little offspring as they emerge from her. You only need to stroll about on the floor and upswing madly to complete them.

Greenpath's Vengefly King

While strolling down Greenpath, you may sometimes hear Zote's muffled screams. It's entirely up to you whether or not you rescue him from the Vengeful King's jaws, but we strongly advise it since Zote is an entertaining character that you can engage with on a few different occasions. Usually approaching from the side, the easiest way to attack Vengefly King is to execute a downswing strike as soon as he's underneath you.

Vengefly King screams after a few strikes, letting out a few tiny vengeflies on you. To allow yourself some room, you should eliminate these people as soon as possible. Then, take careful to leap over them and hang underneath yourself because Vengefly King will resume swooping at you. Another option is to attempt to strike with a Vengeful Spirit, but use caution since the Vengeful King moves, making it easy for your assault to pass under them. Considering how simple this battle is, it shouldn't take you too long.

Greenpath: Massive Moth Charger

a pleasant, straightforward one. The only two attacks available to Massive Moth Charger are a ground-based charge towards you and an airborne jump that ends with a ground-based plunge. Probably only worth fighting when they charge while still on the ground, leaping into the air and slashing downward at them. Moth Charger allows you to move sideways and sneak in two strikes before they burrow down again, if you timing it just right.

Fungal Wastes: Mantis Lords

Many individuals have most likely never advanced beyond this point in one of the first bouts that really tests their mettle. You will be facing up against only one Mantis Lord at the beginning of the battle. He's going to launch a boomerang attack when he holds onto the edge of the stage. If you're fortunate, you may be able to get two attacks in if you evade it and go toward the mantis. The sideways dash comes next, and it's perhaps the simplest method to score. Simply keep an eye on the direction the Mantis is looking, leap, and advance toward them to deliver a downward slash. Then, swiftly slash for another strike when they hesitate at the finish of the assault.

At last, they leap into the air and launch a downward assault. After this strike, they teleport away, so as long as you avoid it, you may safely launch a couple assaults, ideally striking them twice.

You have to start again after eliminating the first Mantis Lord since you are now up against two at once. Here, just exercise patience and notice when they leap higher than you. Since the downward hit is the fastest, you should focus most of your attention on it. Remember that it could be preferable to only launch one attack during this phase and then dodge fast. Remember that you may use a downward slash to bounce off the boomerang and soon you will go through!

Divine Angel (Divine Sanctum)

This conflict bothers me. Soul Warrior travels faster than his plump small body might suggest. He dashes around the arena at a high speed, launching fire missiles and floating Follys. If you have the Defender's Crest on, here might be an excellent moment to use it since the tail will assist remove the floating Follys. Try to avoid them and launch a swift assault before Soul Warrior leaps into the air and falls straight down.

They are going to do a side dash while they are on the ground and raise their sword. Try your hardest to leap above them and launch a downward assault. It's difficult to come near and recuperate from this battle since there are so many other challenges. You may equip the Baldur Shell to heal with some safety if you think you'll need it. If not, try using charms that raise your Soul, such as Grubsong or the Soul Catcher, then whenever you can, attempt to land a hit with Vengeful Spirit. Just keep rushing, and this will end shortly!

Soul Sanctum (Soul Master)

This is a big, intimidating enemy that will need a lot of dashing. You may get in a few nice licks when he's flying in the air as soon as the battle begins. Watch out for his downward smash from then on, and the shock wave it creates on each side. Though it's possible to sneak an attack here, your greatest chance is to slice downward as he shifts from side to side. It's best to simply dodge him and leap over these flying blobs, even if he may land a hit here. He also floats over one half of the arena and fires four missiles.

In the last stage, just run anytime he launches an overhead strike. Generally, the likelihood of an assault is so low that it is not worth jeopardizing your health. He only gives you a chance when he fires missiles, which is ideal if you can go beneath him. You may also really benefit from a ranged Soul attack, and with any luck, you'll soon have this powerful opponent down!

Royal Waterways's Dungeon Defender

Hit the ground with a ground pound as soon as the battle starts, and you'll knock Dung Defender onto his back, giving you many rapid blows. Keep a watch out for the moments when he is fully immersed when digging, since this is the primary route via which damage may enter. You'd be better off attempting to sprint over them, since his sideways swimming assault is rather painful. and awaiting a better opportunity to launch an assault.

Avoiding the feces balls and his assault, which involves rolling into a ball and bouncing across the stage, is the most difficult part of this. Here, hiding in the distant corners will come in handy, particularly on the left. The dung balls have a higher chance of bouncing someplace else, but you may still be struck. Since everything moves so rapidly, soul attacks aren't very useful here. However, if you're having trouble, Thorns of Agony may help you land a few more blows to ultimately defeat this formidable fecal opponent.

Crystal Peak's Crystal Guardian

This is a brief but delicious duel where patience is more important than anything else. As with other bosses, the Crystal Guardian roars and stays still for a good number assaults in the early seconds. Just attempt to rapidly sidestep to evade and land a few strikes on the guardian as he jumps into the air. Dashing won't help as you'll be too far away, and you need to make your attacks happen fast.

He usually launches his ricocheting beam strike as soon as he raises his arm, so dodge and leap fast to escape it. Mostly, however, this is merely the moment to stay clear of him. If you're fast, you should be able to sneak in a downward slash. There aren't many chances to heal throughout this battle, so if you're having a lot of trouble, equip the Baldur Shell or the Grubsong to gain more soul. While he's shooting his laser, you can cast a Soul attack if you hop over him, but it would really be best to simply keep striking with regular nail assaults.

Shattered Vessel (Old Basin)

This one is more difficult than you may think as the Broken Vessel travels swiftly and delivers some incredibly difficult to dodge strikes. Broken Vessel will wind up somewhat ahead of time to warn of impending dash assaults, which are the key thing to watch out for. Your best choice is to leap as fast as you can and try to land near him to get in a rapid attack since the sprint is a bit too fast to sneak in a downward strike.

He then launches missiles upon landing his leap strike. No matter how difficult it is, you are safer the closer you are to him. The majority of the battlefield is covered with projectiles, but you may slip into a small protected area next to the Broken Vessel. He offers a wonderful opportunity to heal or launch a Soul attack from a distance when he remains still and swings back and forth.

He also possesses a very difficult to dodge strike in which he unleashes a torrent of missiles. This is when the Thorns of Agony charm comes in handy, particularly if you're still attempting to maintain your proximity to the Broken Vessel. There is an overhead dash after this, but handle it similarly to the normal dash by estimating where he will land, making an attack, and then backing away. I hope this helps you survive this action-packed combat.

Uumuu (Archives of Teachers)

Even while this enormous jellyfish may not seem particularly intimidating, the frequent electric strikes that force you to move constantly make this battle challenging. Also, until Uumuu deflates, you are unable to inflict harm on it. Fortunately, here is when NPC Quirrel comes in handy. He attacks at Uumuu to give you an opportunity to fight. Be as fast as you can since the majority of the battle depends on you being alert to escape the electric assaults.

You only have so much time to fight Uumuu, thus upgrading your nails is pretty much a must. An other excellent method to do a lot of damage rapidly is to launch an Abyss Shriek attack while equipped with the Shaman Stone. You should be OK as long as you enter the battle with a good amount of Soul; however, you may also equip Grubsong to get some more Soul support. It may take some time to win this battle, so exercise patience and remember to attack as soon as Uumuu is at risk.

The Watcher Knights, also known as Watcher's Spire

To be honest, I stopped playing the game at this point for six months before picking it back up. The fact that there are so many assaults coming at you from all directions makes this battle both difficult and frustrating. The chandelier is the first trick in this duel. Don't go inside just yet after taking the elevator to the chamber where the Watcher Knights are. There's an alcove just above the elevator switch. Discover a hidden area by leaping up and hitting the ceiling. To locate the exposed rope, climb up into the hidden chamber. Take it out such that one of the several Watcher Knights is hit by a chandelier. Although it doesn't eliminate everyone, it certainly helps.

Apart than that, the secret is to just start attacking them as soon as they show up, even if it means taking a few hits. It is best to avoid taking on too many knights at once, therefore having Thorns of Agony, Stalwart Shell, and Quick Slash equipped is quite beneficial. If you want to attempt and do some more damage where you can, you may also aim for the Defender's Crest.

Any Watcher Knight who draws back their weapon is going to launch two blows with their blade in quick succession. Simply retreat and attempt to launch an assault after they've finished. They are about to launch their aerial assault, which consists of a vertical leap followed by a diagonal downward strike, when they coil and jump. This is the most difficult to see, so try to get away as soon as you can. At last, they are poised to launch a sideways charge of a rolling assault. Leap up, attempt to land close to where you believe they'll finish, and land a downward hit if you can.

Since there is so much going on in this battle, try not to focus too much on tactics. Your primary goal should be to strike hard and get back up as soon as you can. Because there are so many ways to be attacked, you won't frequently be rewarded for your patience in this one. Therefore, even if it seems risky, taking some wild guesses can be the best course of action. Make sure you have improved your nail at least half before this battle, if you haven't already.

Hornet

You may get all the information you need for this Hornet battle by visiting our Hollow Knight Hornet guide, where we've previously covered both iterations of the fight.

Deepnest (Nosk)

Nosk may seem like a very cunning adversary, occupying a great deal of space and moving swiftly, analogous to an enormous, unsettling spider. But if you go toward the center platform and remain firmly positioned against its left edge rather than leaping up, this fight will be considerably simpler. They won't be able to get to you while Nosk rushes above, leaving them open to an upward blow. Try to sneak in a downward attack and double leap over them as they move from left to right. With this method, the battle will ultimately become rather straightforward. However, if you're still having difficulties, you can equip something like the Thorns of Agony to get in a few extra hits.

The Gatherer (Love Tower)

In this battle, which isn't nearly as intimidating as some others, your main focus should be on taking down The Collector's minor adversaries rather than on him. Most of the monsters he releases should be defeated with only one attack if your nail is completely improved. Therefore, remove them as soon as they come to avoid feeling overburdened.

It shouldn't be too hard to actually strike The Collector either. He takes a little sideways hop after landing before leaping back up to the ceiling. As soon as he lands, get as near to him as you can, then run in the same direction as he leaps, prepared to strike swiftly. This battle ought to be easy peasy as long as you take out all the other monsters beforehand.

Forgotten Crossroads: Brooding Mawlek

Brooding Mawlek, one of the numerous optional bosses in the game, seems more menacing than he really is. Mawlek stays on the elevated platform and moves side to side while spitting fire strikes throughout the majority of the battle. When he unleashes his single fire strikes, try to avoid being struck while still making some good dodges. Double leap over him and attempt to land on the other side of the chamber with a downward strike as he draws back to unleash a massive fire assault.

He can also jump, but because of how fast he goes, it's advisable to just bolt as soon as he gets airborne. Although it would be better to attempt to strike him when he's launching the smaller fire assaults, you may try to sneak in an attack here. Try to recover there, since that's about the only moment you can smuggle in any healing after a Mawlek double leap.

The Hive (Hive Knight)

This one may be challenging, because the distance from the bench to the boss chamber is not short. Take your time so that you will be in good health when you get there. Like most bosses, you should wait for his battle cry to end before attacking, then take a couple stealthy swipes. Just stay away from the bees when he lets them go. You must always keep an eye on the Hive Knight since they don't linger around, so attacking them isn't worth the trouble.

Hive Knight's strategy is to remain above him and launch downward attacks. It's best to remain up high and poke as much as you can since his two major strikes are sideways dashes with a fairly huge range. You ought should have the Sharp Shadow by now as well, allowing you to go right through him and do more damage. Additionally, he can air-dash, which increases your chances of hitting a hit since it's often simple to predict where he'll land.

Try your hardest to run through his spikes as soon as he raises them, but be aware that they will detonate in the same order as they emerge. The best strategy, if you're truly stuck, is to go beneath the lowest spike-bomb and position yourself such that you're just to the left of its vertical spike.

This should be very simple, save from the odd additional wave of bees. The ideal place to heal is either sneak it in midway through the battle when you stun Hive Knight just before he releases additional bees, or locate a safe corner during the spike attack. There won't be much time for recovery here else. Simply cut relentlessly, and with any luck, you'll be able to make it through. Congratulations, you have successfully obtained the Hiveblood Charm.

Charlatan of the Queen's Gardens

This one is difficult, hoo boy. You must use the Shadow Dash in order to even approach Traitor Lord, in addition to the exhausting sprint that awaits you from the bench to the boss. In addition to that, you have to defeat several foes before Traitor Lord appears. With this one, they knew exactly what they were doing. Fortunately, Cloth will appear to assist you in this battle if you have been completing the sidequest and have been able to rescue her.

Here, the two primary strikes are dual swords and a leaping diagonal slash. You should go between them and follow them as they move from side to side as he launches the double blade. Since they occupy so much of the available area, there isn't much more that can be done. If you are fast, you can evade the downward slash, but if you want to genuinely obtain the speed you need in this battle, we strongly advise equipping Dashmaster and Sprintmaster.

One of the better strategies, in our opinion, is to equip Grubsong to get additional Soul, then attempt to stay on the right side of the screen while sometimes launching a projectile attack. Next, use Grimmchild, if you possess it, to deal additional damage. The Defender's Crest is another option, although it's doubtful that you'll be able to get near enough to use it against Traitor Lord.

Above all, the Shadow Dash and the Sharp Shadow ability are the most important components of your kit. You have no option but to race past Traitor Lords if you want to avoid being struck. They occupy the majority of the battle arena. Traitor Lord then launches a ground pound strike that shoots a wave of white energy from one half of the chamber to the other when they've taken enough damage. This attack takes up so much area that your only chance is to run through it. Basically, the strategy for this battle is to continually dodge strikes, dash, and attempt to use dash attacks to get the upper hand whenever possible. I hope this is helpful!

Oblobbles (The Edge of Kingdom)

These energetic guys have firepower to compensate for their lack of physical strength, so don't underestimate them. It's important to avoid being trapped in the center of them since avoiding both of them at once is the hardest element of this boss encounter. The best tactic in this battle is to use spells since, annoyingly, they will sometimes walk towards you if you strike them with a nail.

Keeping your distance and unleashing a Shade Soul will be quite helpful in this situation when you're continuously dodging projectiles, particularly because this has the potential to damage both of the Oblobbles. In a same vein, if you can, attempt to sneak underneath them and release an Abyss Shriek. It's a good idea to work with the Grubsong and Shaman Stone so that you may concentrate on spamming spells from one side of the arena and try to dodge their fire strikes.

After eliminating one opponent, the other becomes enraged and begins to move and fire more quickly. To maintain the most amount of control over your movement at this time, it's preferable to remain on the ground while they're shooting and progress by walking. As soon as they fire, go as far away as you can, and you should have enough room to determine the direction of the assaults. Your greatest chance of getting any hits here is to use ranged magic attacks, so if you still have some Soul. You may try switching to another charm that awards Soul if you're truly stuck.

Kingdom's Edge God Tamer

This monster, however, may be very intimidating. You must simultaneously monitor the beast and the God Tamer in an effort to evade their strikes. Since the God Tamers only have a little period of time when they are still, try to take care of them first. They jump into the air and then lunge downward at The Knight in God Tamer's primary assault. This follows you around, so as long as you move away from your starting location, you can deliver a few blows and know precisely where they're going to fall.

They remain in that posture for a short while after landing. It's annoying because the God Tamer will be knocked backwards if you slice them at this moment. However, you may take advantage of this by forcing them into a corner and buying yourself some time to launch a barrage of blows. Given that the beast will probably use fire attacks against you throughout this battle, it will be quite beneficial to equip Thorns of Agony to do more damage and Grubsong to gain more Soul.

It's time for the beast now that you've taken care of the God Tamer. Alternatively, God Tamer will give up if you kill the beast first, but I strongly think you should kill them both.

The beast lunges to land precisely where The Knight was standing after rolling forward and bouncing into the air. Aim to take advantage of this by positioning yourself between the beast and the wall as it rolls at you, staying to the side of both adversaries. A quick sidestep in the direction of the wall should work as you already know where the beast will fall. Then, launch as many strikes as you can.

To make matters worse, there's the beast's sludge assault to be concerned about. You can only run towards the wall to dodge it, that's about it. However, you may utilize this to get additional soul and launch a ranged Soul attack while the beast is fire if you have Grubsong equipped. If you are running away from the beast and God Tamer lands in front of you, it is good to have Sharp Shadow equipped as well. You might launch another strike. There's a lot going on here, but you'll have things under control as usual once you recognize the patterns.

The Hollow Knight (The Temple of the Black Egg at Forgotten Crossroads)

The last boss in the game—sort of. It takes some time to get into the swing of the battle and emerge triumphant over the frightening Hollow Knight because of how rapidly they may take you down. You have a couple assaults to be concerned about initially. When Hollow Knight strikes, he leaps into the air, hits the ground, and shoots dark, twisted tendrils up through the floor to cover the whole space. By observing where the tendrils protrude through the earth, you may determine where they will rise. Move between two of them, turn to face Hollow Knight, and launch a quick ranged Soul strike.

Hollow Knight then unleashes a large-scale dash assault. Since leaping over isn't really an option, equipping Dashmaster may be helpful. It's simpler for me to go back and attempt to strike him after he completes his swing. However, since Hollow Knight is so tall, it is safer to run into a corner and wait for a better opportunity to strike because he is quite difficult to evade.

In the same way, it's best to run as fast as possible to the wall that's farthest away from him when he unleashes his ranged attack and fires flame-like substance. This will provide you some space and help you predict where the projectiles will fall. Hollow Knight sometimes leaps back and forth, providing an excellent opportunity to strike an attack. Hollow Knights begin stabbing themselves when they have sustained enough injury. This is a crucial chance for self-healing.

In addition, Hollow Knight possesses a powerful projectile strike in which they cover the screen with obstructions. Although you may attempt to duck to one side to escape this, he doesn't always shoot down straight, so sometimes it's simpler to stay below him. Next, he launches himself into a slam assault, slamming his swollen body into the ground as he jumps. The fifth slam is your finest opportunity to sneak in an attack since Hollow Knight remains on the ground for a little period of time to recuperate.

Since you probably won't be approaching Hollow Knight very often, it's not really worth utilizing Defender's Crest or Thorns of Agony. If you're struggling, I suggest concentrating on spells and mobility; the Shaman Stone and Grubsong might be useful in this regard. Though it's hazardous, you may be able to sneak in an Abyss Shriek when Hollow Knight is above you if you're utilizing a spell build. You've defeated Hollow Knight once you've made it through everything! Unless...

The Radiance – Temple of the Black Egg – Forgotten Crossroads

You will face up against The Radiance if you have obtained the Void Heart and utilized the Dream Nail while Hornet is holding the Hollow Knight down. I have some unfortunate news for you if you thought that battling Hollow Knight was difficult. You will need to defeat Hollow Knight once more in order to try again if you lose against The Radiance. Don't worry, your health will return at the conclusion of the Hollow Knight battle. It's a good idea to try to bank some before the Hollow Knight battle finishes, however, since your Soul doesn't.

If you haven't already, you should definitely go for a spell build before we even start. Your strongest allies in this battle are Grubsong, Shaman Stone, and Abyss Shriek since you'll be positioned right underneath The Radiance for much of the fight, leaving you with limited opportunities to strike them with your nail. To increase your chances of hitting select targets, you may also equip the Longnail, although in all honesty, it's uncommon that you'll be at the necessary height to make a nail assault.

Because there are so many different missiles and obstacles that are continuously moving across the screen, the majority of this battle is about avoiding being hit. There is no other way to cope with the wall of white light than to run through it with your Shade Cloak. Your best bet against the yellow missiles is to go beneath and towards them, letting them strike the ground behind you.

The light beams that The Radiance shoots around them come next. There are three assaults in all, and each one rotates a little with each beam. Fortunately, you only have a split second to see where the strike is going to fall, so move fast to stay up with their speed and avoid making any unexpected changes. Apply the same strategy to dodge the radial spike assaults by situating yourself underneath The Radiance and noting which direction the spike is pointing. If you have the opportunity, you can even attempt letting off an Abyss Shriek.

This is where we should stop assaulting since the horizontal spikes are a little trickier. Rather, find a space between the spikes and go through it. Just concentrate on surviving; there isn't much time for anything else. Everything becomes much simpler as the spikes descend vertically. You have enough time to predict where they will fall, so you may move around them and scream like an abyss. Forget about fighting once again and concentrate on sprinting as much as you can to escape anything as the spikes begin to rise through the level's foundation, leaving you with just half of the platform to handle.

They're wrapped in vines when you first defeat The Radiance. Take advantage of this opportunity to heal as much as you can before the assaults recur. The assault cycle is the same in the next phase, except this time you're battling on floating platforms above a deadly black floor rather than on a flat surface. Since the pattern is the same, there's not much more to say. Just keep low, give yourself plenty of room from projectiles, and use the extra time to determine their direction. Remember that you may get a little extra traction by hugging the side of platforms with a wall grab, but in the end, this is now a patience test.

The platforms eventually open up to show a straight upward passage. Ascending steadily will allow you to ascend far into the level while dodging light beams. Take your time since you don't want to fall onto the fatal level below and there isn't much else to do here. You only need to land one more strike to end this exhausting battle once you get to The Radiance at the top. Best wishes! Officially, Hollow Knight is now complete.

Grimm Troupe (Troupe Master Grimm)

This is what it means to have a bark that isn't as good as your bite. When you first try this battle, the massive torrent of strikes might easily overwhelm you. Fortunately, there is always a seat nearby, so you may do this exercise often without difficulty. Almost all of your attacks in this battle will be spells, so make sure you enter with a full Soul gauge.

Equip Spell Twister, Shaman Stone, Stalwart Shell, and Grubsong before the combat starts. As soon as Grimm charges at you with his volley of missiles, dive right under him and launch as many Abyss Shriek strikes as you can. Though a little corny, this is the simplest and fastest method to take care of a really difficult boss. You're awarded with an additional charm notch for your efforts, and he should be defeated with around seven or eight Abyss Shriek assaults.

(God Eater) Paintmaster Sheo

Sheo is a powerful paint-fighting beast that occupies a lot of area due to their powerful build and paint-hurling attacks. There are four primary assaults to be concerned about. The first is the standard blue slash, a forward stroke that shoots three blobs of blue paint upward. Just make a mad run for it and try to get in between the paint. Sheo jumps back into a corner to herald the impending large orange slash. Your best option is to just run into a corner and wall jump to go over this since it's so huge.

Sheo can also perform a powerful, charged purple attack in which they raise their brush in the air and then slam it down on the ground next to them, unleashing a downpour of purple paint. After the first ground flash, stay near, then advance fast to grab several easy hits. They are going to do a fast spin before a downward smash when they leap into the air. Additionally, red paint is let go into the room's corners, although it is easily avoided. Similar to the last strike, remain near Sheo to avoid being struck by the ground slam, then quickly attack her.

Sheo stays on the ground most of the time, with the exception of the odd leap. If you're having a lot of trouble, you may try casting a spell, then slink around corners to release a Shade Soul. Hopefully, you won't be trapped on this fight for too long since Grubsong and Shaman Stone may be incredibly helpful here.

Oro and Mato, the brothers (God Eater)

This is another challenging battle when there are several opponents. Fortunately, Oro and Mato are somewhat similar, making it simple to monitor both of them. You battle only one of the brothers at first. Be mindful of their forward slash and attempt to duck backwards in order to deliver a stealthy nail blow. When using their special move, dodge Mato's spinning leap and land a hit on him after jumping above Oro's charged slash and attacking him from above.

Try to climb above the brothers while you're battling them together so you may use Desolate Dive to hit both of them at once. Equip Grubsong and Shaman Stone if you want to maximize this with a spell build. When battling both brothers at once, you want to exhaust your whole Soul gauge, so be careful with how much Soul you spend in the opening stages of the battle. Once you take one out, you revert to fighting against a lone sibling in the opening stages of the match. Just stay out of the way and try to let loose your inner Shade Soul sometimes. Although they may seem formidable, their assault patterns are really rather sluggish and predictable. If you maintain composure and launch strikes when you can, this should end quickly.

Glorious Nailsage Sly (Destroyer of God)

The major reason to be concerned about this opponent, despite his little stature, is the extreme range of Sly's Greatsword. He launches two successive slashes as his opening assault before spinning into the air and landing with a downward blow. Sly moves swiftly across a large distance, so you don't want to find yourself stuck somewhere with nowhere to escape. Try not to back yourself into a corner. As he launches himself into the air for the third phase of this assault, swiftly dive beneath him and prepare to strike as soon as he lands.

Sly's next move is a spring-like jump, a ground smash, and a fast slash. When you can, attempt to sneak in an attack and be cautious of that second slash. Every now and again, Sly leaps into the air, charging an attack with a little white blink before letting off a spinning blade that circles the arena. Use your down pogo attack to remain alive in this situation and double or wall jump to go over him.

In addition, he has two charged sword strikes. In one, he delivers a massive swipe while standing still, while in the other, he charges up a dash slash and leaps to one side of the room. It is advisable to simply run away and wait for a better opportunity to strike since both of these take up much of the screen and inflict a lot of damage.

Sly pings about the area in his last phase before completing the combination with a spinning sword slash. Try to get him to do the spin slash close to you, then swiftly run away and strike as soon as he finishes. This monster will be destroyed if you persist with this difficult maneuver—there isn't another chance to strike!
