How to turn into a werewolf in Skyrim

To become a werewolf in Skyrim, one must complete the Companions questline. After the game launches, go with the main mission until you get in Whiterun, at which point:
  • Head to Jorrvaskr, a mead hall at the bottom of the stairs to Dragonsreach next to a preacher
  • Ask around about joining the Companions
  • Start the Companions questline
  • Complete the Companions questline

The Companions questline must be completed in order to transform into a Skyrim werewolf. What skills that grants you are as follows:

  • Can change into a werewolf once a day
  • This is called “beast form”, and you are more powerful
  • Only lasts two and a half minutes
  • Can be extended by feeding on humans

How to treat lycanthropy in Skyrim

Weary of living the werewolf life? Would you rather give being a vampire a shot? You can cure lycanprothy, so don't worry, Dragonborn (or should I say Wolf-born?) – however this option is only accessible at the conclusion of the Companions primary questline.

You must chop off the heads of the Glenmorii witches in order to complete the second portion of the Companions quest. Kodalk Whitemane's lycanthropy may then be cured by burning these heads during the "Glory of the Dead," the last mission in the Companions questline. It follows that you could burn one of the Glenmorii witch heads for yourself if you wanted to rid yourself of lycanthropy. This neutralizes the primary function of the Ring of Hircine and completely eliminates your "beast form" ability.

Remember that you cannot become a werewolf if you are already a vampire, nor can you become a vampire lord if you have not yet rid yourself of lycanthropy.People, only one supernatural being at a time.

How to turn back into a werewolf

Have you changed your mind once more? Do you miss the evenings you used to howl at the moon? You definitely need to improve your ability to make decisions, but for now we'll overlook it.

Even if you've previously burned the witch head to rid yourself of lycanthropy, you may turn back into a werewolf as long as you own the Dawngard DLC or the Skyrim Special Edition. You must talk to Aela the Huntress in The Circle and ask her to give you her blood once again if you want to turn back into a werewolf.

Remember that many people dislike Skyrim werewolves. You'll terrify a lot of NPCs. Wishing you luck! However, if you're in the mood for something a little different, check out our selections for the top Soulslike games on mobile and Switch, as well as the best ARPGS.
