The whole cast of Poppy Playtime is as follows:
Happy Hour
Poppy Playtime, the first toy made by Playtime Co., is a central figure in Poppy Playtime Chapters 1 and 2. She is a little, vintage doll with freckles, pink cheeks, and chalk-white skin. Her curling red hair smells like poppies. Playtime Co. calls her "the first truly intelligent doll in the world" and claims she can have a meaningful conversation with a youngster in her old VHS ad.Poppy is ultimately kept behind a glass display case when you finally make your way back to the Playtime Co. facility in Chapter 1. Although the reason for her imprisonment is still unknown, she follows you on your quest throughout Chapter 2 once you set her free. Many players disagree on Poppy Playtime's morals, whether or not she is possessed by a human soul, and other issues since, apart from her trailer and clues of mythology regarding her voice actress, her background and motivations are still quite hazy. But we're confident we'll see plenty more of her in Poppy Playtime Chapter 3, given the ending of Chapter 2 and her importance in Playtime Co's history.See our comprehensive Poppy Playtime Poppy guide for additional details on this rosy-cheeked, gorgeous danger.Huggie Wuggy
Playtime Co. first created Huggy Wuggy in 1984, and he quickly became one of their most popular toys. He also just so happens to be the main antagonist chasing you down in Chapter 1. Huggy Wuggy is easily the most recognisable Playtime Co. creation, both in-game and in the real world, with his goofy smile and iconic wave sparking a mixture of joy and fear in the hearts of players all over the world.Huggy Wuggy is a tall, thin animal with vivid blue fur and long, floppy limbs. He serves as both a mascot and a toy. He is a shy yet hospitable creature that enjoys giving hugs. His hideous counterpart, on the other hand, is equipped with huge, dilated eyes, sharp fangs, and an excess of homicidal intent. He still enjoys hugs, but they're more of the let-me-suffocate-you-and-bite-your-face kind than the warm, cuddly ones.To learn more about this hideous blue villain and his hideous maw, check out our Poppy Playtime Huggy Wuggy guide.Kissy Missy Kissy Missy, a female version of Huggy Wuggy with vivid, pink fur and long, black eyelashes, was produced in 1985, one year after Huggy Wuggy's introduction. Playtime Co. has described her as "Huggy Wuggy's better half and adorable counterpart."Although Kissy Missy is new to us, she seems very kind during her short debut in Chapter 2. She opens a gate for you and walks away without making an effort to assault. This puts her in stark contrast to the other toys' extreme brutality and antagonism, even that of her male counterpart, and has many theory makers thinking that she could truly be the player's friend. It seems that she is Huggy Wuggy's true love, but until we find out more about her intentions and past, we don't advise giving her a kiss.To learn more about this annoying pink friend, be sure to pucker up and have a look at our Poppy Playtime Kissy Missy guide.Cat-Bee Playtime Co. developed the hybrid toy known as Cat-Bee, which is a bumblebee-cat. It was released in the late '80s and early '90s as a part of their Swap-imal line. In Chapter 1, you will come across several Cat-Bee toys strewn throughout the factory. To advance, you will eventually need to piece one together using the Make-A-Friend machine. You hear a spooky voice in Chapter 2 saying, "You need to get out of here," and then it's followed by a lighthearted chuckle and a "just kidding." We don't know a much about her outside of these fleeting visits, but we're certain that we haven't seen the last of her yet.Candy Cat Extra sweets Candy Cat, a digital collectible character designed by Playtime Co. in 1979, is characterized as "a free-spirited icon" who "always marches to the beat of her own drums" and "is a favorite among children who have been known to indulge in sweets." Nom nom nom.Candy Cat is a chubby blue cat with a long, pink tongue and a wide open mouth. She is a gluttonous girl who appears mostly in the game as a cardboard cutout that you may "feed" by pressing a large red button. It is revealed in the Chapter 2 "assessment forms" that she was paired with Makayla Hyssop, an orphan. A popular theory among gamers is that Candy Cat is now home to Makayla's soul.Check out our guide to find out more about Poppy Playtime's Candy Cat.
Bron
Bron the Dinosaur, a brontosaurus toy made by Playtime Co. in 1961, appears in both Chapters 1 and 2. Playtime Co. describes him as a giant, brilliant red dinosaur who appears on a lot of in-game posters, cardboard cutouts, and advertisements. He works hard and gives his all to whatever objectives he sets for himself. He also reveals himself to be a bit of a comedian in his cardboard cutout voice lines, but we do get a peek of his darker side when he refers to himself as "the scariest dinosaur."The only time you really interact with Big Ol' Bron in real life is in Chapter 2, when you are trapped in a storage room and have to utilize a huge crane to get him out of the way. Beyond that, not much is known about Bron, despite theories that he may be one of Playtime Co.'s efforts to bring their toys to life. If this is the case, we may have to flee from a large, malevolent herbivorous dinosaur in future chapters.Boogie Bot Boogie Bot is a quirky little robot that Playtime Co. created in 1993. He is small, battery-operated, green, and loves to dance. He is described in his Digital Collectible profile as "among the cutest robots Playtime Co. has ever come to know." Boogie Bot is described as loving, playful, and always up for a good spot of grooving. He won over the hearts of both adults and children. This boppin' bot doesn't seem to have a sinister side just yet, and we sort of hope that doesn't change since he is just too adorable to be tainted.Read through our Poppy Playtime Boogie Bot guide to learn further more about this little dancer.Long Legs of Mommy
A fresh play partner! It's been a long time. Mommy Long Legs, also eerily known as Experiment 1222 or Marie Payne, is basically a bunch of nope, or what happens when you mix Betty Spaghetty with a spider. With four long, twisted limbs and a body composed of two segments resembling the abdomen and cephalothorax of a spider, she is a huge, thin creature. She moves mostly on all fours, scrambling around the floor or scaling walls and ceilings, giving the impression that she is composed of plastic and rubber. We also notice that she can extend her neck and limbs to great distances in Chapter 2. Her Transfer Request paperwork, which claims that her limbs are very elastic and can extend hundreds of feet, lends credence to this. The primary enemy of Chapter 2 is Mama Long Legs, who manipulates you through a series of deadly games in exchange for the code needed to start the train and escape the factory. Throughout, she alternates between a menacing, yet gentle, voice and ferocious screams, making it obvious that she enjoys playing with her prey. She has a very large ego and serious attachment problems, which often cause her to get angry if she feels that you're about to leave or that you no longer want to play with her. Nevertheless, if you play your cards well and according to our Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 guide, you ought to be able to get out of her grasp and, perhaps, put an end to Mommy Long Legs' horror.See our Poppy Playtime Mommy Long Legs guide to learn more about this frightening woman with long legs.Bunzo Bunny Unsurprisingly, the first time you meet Budzo Bunny is in the Musical Memory minigame in Chapter 2. He has large buck teeth, long, floppy ears, and yellow hair. He also always wears green dungarees and a little party hat. When you combine that with his cardboard cutout that wishes people a happy birthday, we can only surmise that he was once a Funtime Co. mascot that was connected to enjoying kids' birthday celebrations. In the Musical Memory minigame, he holds two giant symbols that he slowly lowers from the ceiling and smashes together. He lowers himself even quicker, flashing his razor-sharp fangs and smashing his symbols more forcefully until he approaches you and ends the game if you take too long to complete the minigame or make too many errors. If you are successful, however, it seems that Mommy Long Legs ends this poor party rabbit's life much too soon.Other than this, not much is known about the symbol-bashing rabbit, however you may see the machinery that make the toys in the vicinity of the Water Treatment Facility.Tiny Huggies More desirable than a single, large Huggy Wuggy? Why, of course, a handful of Mini Huggies! Mommy Long Legs informs us that the Mini Huggies "used to have strings attached to them so they could be pulled back when they got too close to the children." Take note of the past tense there, as they definitely come with no strings attached this time. The Mini Huggies were originally made by Playtime Co. especially for the Wack-a-Wuggy game.In Chapter 2, the Whack-a-Wuggy mini-game pits you against these little grotesque creatures that emerge from holes all around you. The game ends when these bone-chilling beasties leap at you and flash their fangs if you are unable to smack them with your GrabPack in time.PJ Pug-a-Pillar PJ Pug-a-Pillar is a member of the Playtime Co., much as Cat-Bee. Toys in the Swap-imal series. He resembles a monstrous cross between a pug and a caterpillar, with a long, fluffy body divided into segments and a big, happy pug face. Although we don't know much about his past as a toy or mascot, we do see him around the factory on posters and cardboard cutouts. And, of course, we get to meet him up close and personal in Chapter 2.Even with the lights on, PJ Pug-a-Pillar follows you throughout the whole Statues experience. He jumpscares and kills you, restarting the game, if he gets to you, moves, or fires your GrabPack when the lights are on.Check out our guide to learn much more about Poppy Playtime's PJ Pug-a-Pillar.Daisy
Daisy is a marionette puppet that resembles a plant. Her limbs are constructed of stems, while her hands and feet are made of leaves. She hasn't really done much in the game so far, save for appearing on the plaque in Elliot Ludwig's office. One of the pages for the rejected rooms also mentions her marionette form, claiming that she was turned down because she was too scary for kids and would make them cry when performing. Nonetheless, a cardboard cutout of her with the words "I'm rooting for you!" is visible. You get it, root?"Boxy Boo Boxy Boo is a spooky character with a jack-in-the-box body and spring-powered limbs from the spin-off asymmetrical cooperative horror game Project: Playtime. He was created by Playtime Co. in 1966 and is described as happy and gregarious yet a little awkward. yet when he transforms into a monster, he is very vicious and ravenous. Although he can devour victims in a single swipe, he usually lurks in his box until the right opportunity presents itself.Get much more information about this toy by reading our Poppy Playtime Boxy Boo guide.CatNap
To say that CatNap is the major enemy from Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 would be an understatement. She is a pink cat. But in his toy form, CatNap is a good-hearted person who just wants what's best for the kids at Playcare. It's a terrible thing that his monstrous form missed the message since he despises the Prototype and proceeds on a murderous rampage, eliminating all potential heretics from the factory.Check out our Poppy Playtime CatNap guide to find out much more about this fierce cat.DogDay
In Chapter 3, DogDay is a character we encounter when exploring Playcare's Play House. When we discover him, he's a bit, well, worn out. He says that when CatNap and the Prototype initially began taking control, he and the other original Smiling Critters tried to stop them, but they weren't powerful enough. Then he informs us that he is the last of the original Smiling Critters since CatNap murders everyone who disagrees with the Prototype. Since then, he has been imprisoned in a Play House cell and subjected to excruciating torment. When we do eventually find him, he makes an effort to provide us with some information, but we are unaware of his ultimate destiny. He shortly meets a horrible death. It's possible that we haven't seen the last of poor DogDay, but we certainly hope not.Check out our Poppy Playtime DogDay guide to learn more about this sad, loving excellent boy.Happy Animals
A group of toys known as Poppy Playtime's Smiling Critters are mentioned extensively in Chapter 3. At the start of the game, we learn that CatNap is a part of the Smiling Critters organization, which also includes the animated TV series that aired alongside the line of toys. There are eight characters in The Smiling Critters. They are as follows:- DogDay
- CatNap
- KickinChicken
- CraftyCorn
- Bubba Bubbaphant
- Bobby Bearhug
- Picky Piggy
- Hoppy Hopscotch
Delightful Miss
A mysterious woman, we first encounter Miss Delight in Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 when touring the Playcare school. Until then, we hadn't even laid eyes on her because Mob Entertainment had kept her completely hidden, but we can piece together a good deal of information about her from the tidbits of information we find scattered throughout her chapter.Miss Delight was an animatronic educator at Playcare's facility. We learn from one of the VHS films that there were once many Miss Delights, but on our tour of the Poppy Playtime plant, we only come across one.She has a very violent streak, as seen by the second VHS movie that purports to show her attempting to murder her pupils. Additionally, there is a letter implying that she was one of the "toys" that went on the rampage during the Hour of Joy and that she also consumed the corpses of the fallen workers. Although she attempts to come off as pleasant at first, the school seems to be her terf. She eventually turns against us as well, and our investigation of the facility culminates in a crazy chase scene packed of scares and riddles.See our Poppy Playtime Miss Delight guide to learn more about this scary instructor and how to evade her pursuit.Playtime Co. staff are the poppy characters in this scene. There are many recordings and files that discuss the Playtime Co. personnel scattered across the games. These are the principal individuals who worked at Playtime Co., designing, producing, and marketing toys; organizing kid-friendly activities and games; carrying out tests; and more. Here are all of the well-known Playtime Co. workers that we currently know about:- Elliot Ludwig – the main founder and CEO of Playtime Co. who lived by his goal of bringing joy to children, even after he suffered a great loss in his family (to learn more about him, check out our Poppy Playtime Elliot Ludwig guide)
- Leith Pierre – a supervisor for all employees at Playtime Co.
- Stella Greyber – a playful employee who thinks that ‘adults are kids but older’
- Eddie M.N. Ritterman – an employee who worked in the laboratory and aided in the deal between Playtime Co. and Warrenbach Construction
- Jimmy Roth – the chief marketing officer at Playtime Co.
- Dr. Matthew Wayson – a scientist or psychologist seemingly responsible for recording and monitoring the children and experiments, along with the physiological impact their studies have on the children
