The Mario Tour will take the Mario Kart Tour back in time.

The Mario Kart Tour Mario Tour, a time-traveling event, is about to begin for Nintendo's mobile kart racer. This second Mario Tour event, which took place back in 2021, is full of vintage touches. It has a DS classic course, a fast-moving Koopa racer, and some 8-bit gliders.

One of Mario Odyssey's roaming racers, Koopas, is the Mario Tour highlighted racer. Koopas can already reach rather high speeds without the need of a kart. If you can avoid the goombas that are scattered around the lanes, you may compete against the swift turtle on the new DS Mario Circuit circuit.

The assortment of 8-bit gliders from the Mario Tour is the most notable throwback offering. These include a Goomba design and vintage versions of the gold and super glider designs. Naturally, the classic Mario Kart games from the SNES period lack gliders and have wheels firmly set on the ground, but we'll take some stylish equipment any day.

Since that March 10th is Mario Day, it should come as no surprise that Nintendo chose the Mario Tour for March. As part of the festivities for Mario Day, we anticipate to see at least a few surprises appear during the month, as past years have taught us to expect.
